1968 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible!not your daddies muscle car!Ok Ladies and Gentlemen I am sadly selling my 442. I recently spend the last 11 years in the military and bought this car off my father after my first deployment in 03'. It has been in our family for over 30 years, and i remember my dad rebuilding it when i was very young. Sadly i no longer have a steady income and need to move up north in search of work so she has to go. I am no car expert but let me rattle off what i put into her. engine is a 455 bored 30 over (rocket) chromed out. performance distributor, electric fuel pump toggle activated on dash, E.B. NOS kit professionally installed, working, tested never used on the street or strip, 10 LB nos tank mounted in trunk, i want to say polished 750 holly carburetor, racing cam, chrome high volt alternator, custom chrome 442 valve covers with red raised 455 logos on them, eddlebrock intake polished aluminum, entire motor was refreshed, painted red in 08' This motor has 35,800 miles on it, 4 core aluminum be cool radiator, performance headers, original radiator top shroud chromed out, re built turbo 400 tranny with the heavy band/plate kit, ORIGINAL rear bumper smoothed and re chromed (like new), entire rear end rebuilt to now TRUE possi traction wit 343 gears, CUSTOM red and black upholstery interior with 442 swen into the head rests, true dual exhaust copy cat flow master 40 series mufflers, new carpeting, solid floors, monster tac, oil pressure and water temp gauges mounted under dash, B&M ratchet shifter with NOS trigger on T handle, Powder coated american racing wheels, fatter in the back skinnier up front, tranny cooler, 2 high watt amps chrome and red mounted in trunk with cross over and 2 12" subs, pioneer speakers in front doors after market behind rear seats. Pioneer single CD player mounted in dash, Very crisp system. Automatic convertible top white and beat up however have a brand new black mildew resistant with plate glass rear window new in the box needs installExtra Items that i have and come with the car( not installed(: Chrome brake booster and brake fluid box with all the brackets, new American racing center wheel caps, the new black top, fuel and air gauges, all NEW 442 outer body emblems, (800 dollar value alone), original 442 wheels, extra chrome colored seat trimming, large electric fan already rigged the wire and switch just needs fan installed, nice black boot cover (when the tops down snaps over the top, looks fantastic) Still polishes up nice but really needs a new paint job, and minor body work by both front tires where the road salt of yesteryear ate at the metal, runs awesome and drives but definitely needs a tune up, timing, running lean and the brakes need to be stiffened (or do it after the booster is installed), also the passenger side window needs to be put in its track , and needs a 25 dollar headlight cover for the right light, and antenna. thats about everything. any questions or offers feel free to email me id be happy to negotiate, I have well over 25000.00 in this car and sadly she needs to sell in order for me to transition into my new life Need 2000.00 dollar deposit, 24 hrs after bid is complete and the final payment No later than 1 week after auction has closed.Buyer responsible for collection of the vehicle, or towing arrangements (requires flat bed or vehicle transport) If i am forgetting anything please let me know PRE 1972 car registered to myself with permanent purple heart plates/ reg.
