Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1986 Jeep CJ7 that has been partially restored with a full rust-free steel body. I purchased this Jeep in 1997 and have invested over $25k in restorations. It has been garaged since I have owned it and has never seen inclement weather. Four-wheel drive works great and has never been taken off road since I have owned it. The Jeep has 163k overall miles on it. It has been sitting for the last two years and when I tried starting it last fall the motor was having problems so I replaced the entire motor with a used OEM straight 6 in Nov of 2010. It runs great now with no problems. The motor has a header that goes to dual exhaust after the duramax muffler. Two years ago I replaced most of the brake components to include calipers, HP hoses, rotors and master cylinder. It has a 2” shackle lift and a 2.5 inch Skyjacker suspension lift with all new leaf springs, skyjacker shocks and steering stabilizer to give it an overall 4.5 inch suspension lift. The tires are BF Goodrich 33”12.5 on American racing alloy wheels with a matching spare. They are still like new including a balance for life of the tire warranty from Sears. The Jeep has been meticulously maintained and has tons of new parts. Front and rear tubular bumpers have 2” Reese hitches for front and back access. KC lights on the front bumper are not fully installed but I have the new wiring harness for them in the package still. Flame magnets on the hood are removable. Most of the hinges and fasteners have been replaced with stainless steel. The rear drums, front four-wheel drive hubs and spare tire rack have been powder coated. Roll cage has two working fire extinguishers with a full foam wrap which is hard to find on old Jeeps. I installed a battery tender on the wheel well for easy plug-in to keep the optima battery in top condition because it wasn’t driven a lot. The interior is fully carpeted with matching black Jeep floor mats. The seats are full replacement neoprene. The center console is a security tough box and is the only thing that locks. All the dash knobs are polished aluminum to include the Hurst four-wheel drive shifter. The stereo system separately cost over $5k and is a Rockford Fosgate MP3 single CD head unit with remote. It has 10” subs and 6 other speakers powered by two amps and a crossover. Any more specs on the stereo components please ask! The Jeep has a Viper alarm with a proximity sensor that works with the top and doors off. The Jeep comes with hard top and full steel doors as well as 2 bikini tops. I purchased racks to hang the doors in my garage and will include those with the Jeep along with a gray in color full Jeep cover. Everything in this Jeep from the under dash lights to the engine compartment light work. This Jeep is in great condition and is ready to be enjoyed! There are very few out there still like this one. i am only interested in selling this Jeep and am not interested in any trades. Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions. I am starting the bidding at a fair price so Good luck! Also becuase of ebays standard desciption it will not let me change the item description saying it has a 4 cylinder in it, this is a mistake from ebay. It has a OEM straight six. And I also looked at the carfax report ebay provides and noticed the mileage was recorded at 185k in 2005. This was definately a mistake and some sort of typo. I have no idea how to fix it but the odometer shows true overall mileage at 163K.I would prefer local pick-up but I am willing to coordinate shipping at buyers expense.
