1983 Dodge Shortbed Pick Up Truck Body: This is a very solid, clean truck. It has been repainted in its original red. The paint is shiny but it is by no means a water-sanded, buffed flawless paint job. It looks very good, it is just not perfect. There is a new black vinyl bed cover. All- in-all, this truck turns heads. Mechanical: This truck has a 72 318 engine that came out of my 72 Dart that had 50,000 miles on it. The engine has been power washed and repainted with new gaskets, freeze plugs, chrome aircleaner, Edlebrock carb, aluminum intake, polished Mopar aluminum valve covers, starter, waterpump, alternator, fuel pump, belts, hoses, plugs, wires, distributor, roller rockers, temperature and oil sensors, flex fan, and all the fluids. When I bought the truck, the previous owner had just replaced all the brakes, brakelines, master cylinder and booster, entire front suspension, ball joints, tierod ends, bushings, idler arm, shocks, rear springs etc. It was then an abondoned project. Interior: The interior is very respectable as seen in pictures. The seat has been recovered, carpet replaced, and everything else has been detailed. There is a new Sony stereo and speakers.
