This is a 1972 Gran Torino Sport. This is the awesome looking Fastback model. It is an original Red car with the reflective laser stripe and black interior. It came from the factory with a Q code 351 Cobra Jet engine and a C-6 transmission. The 351 was removed for a rebuild and the shop went out of business that was completing the rebuild and is NOT available. The C-6 transmission is still installed to the factory floor shifter and console. THis has a Mach 1 rear optional wing installed and it looks awesome. This car was in the process of a full restoration when the owner decided to start another project. I have the full Marty report for this vehicle. The front clip was removed in order to detail the front frame, firewall, and suspension. This is a factory disc brake car. The car comes with the factory Magnum 500 14" rims. The Brand New American Racing Rims are not included in the sale. They will be offered to the high bidder after the auction closes. The frame and upper suspension have been completely detailed and look great. This has the factory ram air hood that is rust free. The front clip is in good condition with the fenders needing only minor work to be ready to paint. The front grill is in great condition. The front bumper is ready to install. The car is currently in red primer and ready for the final touches for paint. It has had a rear quarter repaired due to some rust. The carpet and insulation was removed and cleaned up. The floor has one area as seen in the pictures,to be repaired but does not need a pan replacement. The door panels look great and there is no broken glass. It has the factory 9" 3.50 rear end still in it. The front buckets are mustang LX and the rear seat is factory. Drop in a small or big block, put the front clip back on, and drive it as is or pick up where the previous owner left off and complete the restoration. This car will go fast so dont miss out on it.
