Vehicle Detail
Clean title, no accidents, low miles on engine (38,000), and only 136,000 miles on chassis. VIN: JT2MA70N6L0152784 This is an amazingly stable touring car, and fun daily driver. I will miss it dearly, but I never drive it anymore living in the bay area... so, alas, I should really sell it. This '90 Toyota Supra NA is an automatic with white exterior and maroon leather interior. This one has the 200hp 7MGE engine. The car has never been used for racing, and the interior has always been a smoke-free environment. Fully loaded with targa top, "white" wheel/trim package, leather, abs, air bag, power mirrors, power windows/locks, power seat, cruise control, electronically modulated suspension. Car has been kept covered for the last 13 years so paint and interior are in very good condition. There are cracks on the leather but no rips and overall the leather interior is in better condition than it was 13 years ago thanks to regular cleaning and conditioning. This car is functionally as good as new and has been maintained meticulously with all stock components and Amsoil synthetic fluids flushed and changed at manufacturer recommended intervals. The car gets about 21mpg on gasoline and 19mpg on ethanol (appropriate for moon runners). I'm the second owner and have owned this car since 1997 and have put undue care into its repair and maintenance, about $13000 in all with all receipts provided to buyer. The short block on this 7MGE engine was replaced (just 38 thousand miles ago) with a brand new toyota factory assembled block. The head gasket was replaced at that time and bolts torqued to specification to prevent the traditional head gasket failure on these engines. The chassis and transmission have 136k miles on them, but other parts have been repaired and replaced as needed, too many to list here. Interested parties can see a complete list of repairs with date and mileage since the car was purchased. In short, the recent repairs: new suspension, abs unit, exhaust (w/ catalytic converter), tires, electrical (plugs, wires, cap, rotor), valve adjustment, valve cover gasket, power antenna, etc. The car also comes with a new Wolf NOAH Car Cover, custom fitted with cable and lock. This supra was recently smogged and is titled and registered in CA and includes the toyota owners and service manuals. Here are the problems, full disclosure: (1) There are some minor cosmetic blemishes and hairline cracks on the plastic covers of the front and rear bumpers and some discoloration on the paint around the gas cap. There is no damage to the frame or other components as it has only been in minor fender-benders. All-in-all the body and paint are in remarkably good condition for any age vehicle, nevermind a 20 year old one.(2) The A/C system certainly needs recharging and may leak since I haven't used it in years, but it was functional before I took off the compressor belt to increase gas mileage. That belt will come with the car in case crisp A/C is your bag. Car is completely stock except for the following aftermarket equipment:(1) an audiophile's stereo system with 8 speakers including 4 Memphis Audio and 2 Infinity two-way and three-way speakers in their stock location plus 2 Autotek silver series 10" subwoofers in a custom enclosure. Includes an Infinity (subwoofer) and Sony amps and a Sony Mobile ES headset with built in amplifier and CD player. You will have to hear it to believe how good it sounds. Listening to cds in this car is the best music listening experience I have ever had. (2) a FlexTek ethanol conversion kit that allows the car to run on any blend of ethanol or gasoline up to 100% ethanol or 100% gasoline. This very car was used by Dan Rather on the 60 Minutes Special "The Ethanol Solution" in 2006 (http://www.amazon.com/60-Minutes-Ethanol-Solution-2006/dp/B000FOTA5C). There are even a couple stations in the bay area now that sell E85, and the closest to me, on Grand Lake in Oakland, has it for just $2.50 a gallon, fyi. This kit is currently uninstalled but will come with the car and can be reinstalled by simply plugging into the fuel injectors. (3) This car also has a custom air horn system that plays Dixie (a la Dukes of Hazzard). You'll never be without the appropriate horn for any situation that may involve jumping over a creek and landing in a hay stack while running moonshine to the next county. The original horn, speakers/stereo can be provided to buyer if interested (although I don't know why you would be!). Ask questions before bidding, this sale is final.
