BRABHAM 1965 BT15 FB BRIAN HART LOTUS TWIN-CAM FORMULA RACE CAR 1965 FB Brabham BT15 is one of 58 cars built and became the one of the most desirable cars to have in the mid- 60’s. This model won every championship it entered from 65 to 67 and is still very competitive today in historic/vintage racing because it is particularly driver friendly. This car is in very original condition and should meet the HTP specification requirements. It has a Brian Hart Twin Cam 1,600 c.c. Engine with Hewland Mk IV 5 speed gearbox. This particular car has been completely refurbished with new bushes, bearings and joints. During its rebuild many parts were bought new: things like wishbones, radiator, oil tank etc., All the suspension has been replated and the fiberglass nose section and an engine cover are new with fresh paint. The engine is a Brian Hart FB 1,600 c.c., steel crank and Rods rods, Arias pistons and L1 cams. The carburetors are Weber 40DCOE, and it is drysumped. The gearbox is a Hewland Mk IV box with 5 forward gears and reverse. The exhaust is the new, down and under system. It has a new battery and an on board plumbed fire system. The instruments (Lucas/Smiths) are all new: Tach. 0-10,000, Water temp/oil pressure and an oil temp This car has the BT18 rear uprights, 7" X 9" correct Brabham wheels with new; but very old Goodyear Eagle tyres. The calipers are the large racing aluminum Girling AR fronts and NR rears they have been fully refurbished/new with new pistons and seals. The car requires fluids and general checks of all systems to take to the track. The car has been setup for a 185lb driver. Spares included. All used/worn Condition: Pr. Rear Rotors Pr. Front A-Arms 4 x Lockheed Master Cylinders. 7 X Special Brabham wheel Studs.
