Hi and welcome to another fantastic Cadillac Eldorado Brougham auction. This time its not rare Brougham parts that I am offering but a fully restored car.You will notice in some of the pictures that the car is not completely assembled but this is no longer the case the pictures are from when it was in the UK. The car will be competed to a first rate standed. You cannot restore a Brougham to this quality for the price I am asking. Please email me for lots more imformation and details on all work completed. Far to much to list here. I have owned this one for 5 years having brought it from Canada. The car was completely untouched when I received it apart from a very bad respray. It was part of a museum collection for many years and has a genuine 65k miles from new. I'm not going to bother telling you the history of the Broughams because if you are looking at this then you should already be aware. the car was totally dismantled to a rolling shell and all body panels stripped to bare metal. All lead work was redone and there is was no bondo used. The body panels are arrow straight and the paintwork is stunning in the correct Deauville Gray metallic paint. Engine and transmission have been rebuilt as have the brakes and brake servo. Every part has been looked at to make sure it functions properly. The list of new parts is endless and if you have ever tried to restore one of these cars you will know the problems and the massive costs involved. Its not like restoring a 57 Chevy or a Vette. The car was converted to springs many years ago although I do have the complete air bag setup if the buyer would like. This includes all parts including good usable bags. The compressor is fitted on the car to make the engine bay more asthetic and original looking. It has a complete new interior including correct Bayou cloth seat inserts and white leather bolsters, gray headliner and correct mouton carpeting from Mastermind. The dash panel and doortops have been redone and are like new. Being an early production car it has the metal door centers that in my opinion are far more attractive than the leather ones on the later cars. Every piece of chrome has been triple plated and on a Brougham thats no small undertaking because of the Alluminium used instead of steel. Even the forged wheels have been taken apart so that the alluminium discs could be rechromed to a show stunning finish.Add to this a set of stunning as new looking original hubcaps and the wheels look gorgeous. At present the tyres fitted are brand new wide whitewall bias but I have a set of 5 reproduced original Brougham only tyres (worth $4500). The colour combination on this car is just outstanding as you have various shades of gray on the interior , add to this the metallic gray paint and you have the best looking Brougham combo available ( yes all colours are factory correct and correct to this car). This car is possibly one of only a handgfull of Broughams to have a complete original vanity set including... Ladies compact Cigerette case Magnetised Tumblers in plastic case Tissue dispenser Leather notepad (original and a perfect reproduction) Leather covered mirror 1oz Arpege perfume with original mint atomizer in correct Lanvin box Beautiful original mint condition owners handbook To find a car with all these original items is near impossible. I know as I reproduce the leather notepad and to date have sold over 35. I have owned 4 Broughams over the years and restored 3. Only 1 of these cars had vanity items and they were all reproductions. These sit in car # 417 which is in the UK. The car was imported to the UK in 2005 but is now in Sweden in storage. Any European buyer has NO FEES TO PAY as they have all been paid when the car was imported to the UK. If you are from the USA you should have no fees to pay as the car was originally manufactured in the USA. I have the canadian title and also one from Ohio (copy). Those of you interested will know the massive costs involved when restoring one of these beautiful cars. Just to give you an idea here is a list of some of the costs.. Trunk kit $5250 Mouton carpet set $4850 Dash and door tops $3150 Chrome on Allumnium $15000 And thats only a small part of the $100k plus that I have spent and thats not including labour. This is a genuine vehicle with a genuine reason for sale. those of you who have heard of me will know that I live and breathe Brougham 24 hours a day. Moving to Sweden has changed my situation so the car is for sale.
