Vehicle Detail

I am very pleased to offer for sale this exquisite 1960 Mercedes-Benz 190SL Roadster with its factory large window hardtop and soft top. Its unique and rare DB334 Light Blue finish over a navy leather interior helps to distinguish this exceptional 190SL from some of the otherwise more common color options. This is a stunning roadster that has always been a very reliable car to enjoy on the occasional weekend drive. The exterior paint and body is exceptional. The paint is deep and lustrous and free of blemishes or dings of any kind. The body is incredibly straight and correct. Both the factory hard top and soft top are in great shape. The interior is equally as attractive and clean. The factory leather seats are excellent, free of any tears or cracking, and exhibiting only the slightest wear. The leather dash and door panels are great and the carpets are in very good condition. No matter where you go every eye turns to look at and admire this classic 190SL. The car has been great mechanically. It comes with a file of service documentation and receipts. It fires right up, idles smoothly, and does not smoke. The compression is excellent and it pulls very strongly through each of its four gears on the manual gearbox. The suspension is tight and the drive is smooth. This is a classic and unmolested example of a fine 190SL finished in a rare and beautiful Mercedes color. It’s a car that should be driven and enjoyed. Thanks for your interest. I want this car to go to a great home, so please feel free to email me or give me a call at (805) 886-1823 if you have any additional questions or would like to make a deal. While I have a California dealer license, I’m not your typical dealer. I’ve always had an appreciation for classic European cars and have always bought and sold them to create a kind of very small revolving personal collection, which, up until this posting, has contained the Mercedes you’re currently looking at. I try to give accurate descriptions of the cars I’m selling, but I’m not an expert and I encourage and am happy to help facilitate personal or professional inspections. But please do so before bidding, as the alternative harms my ability to make sales with other interested parties who have done their proper due diligence before bidding. For U.S. buyers a 10% non-refundable deposit is required within 3 days of the auction's end, the balance to be paid within 7 days of the auction's end. Foreign buyers must pay in full within 7 business days of auction’s end. Buyer is responsible for shipping, however I'd be more than happy to help with recommendations and arrangements. The car is listed locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time should it sell prior to auction's end. Thanks for your interest.
