Vehicle Detail
I have for sale a 1963 Ford Falcon Convertible. It has been in my family for nearly 25 years, as a weekend vehicle only. The miles are about 99,500, we do not think it has been rolled over. But I am not sure, if you know of a way to find out let me know or come to look. The car was purchased by my father, story be told from the original owner. He had taken very could care of it, drive it only in nice weather. Wash and waxed once a week. A guy who would baby the car and drive his MGB to work. Unfortunately he passed away when I was young. My mother and grandparents then decided to ship the car out to Kansas, where my grandparents lived. They stored the car in the garage for safe keeping and drove it on the weekend. The kept up on the maintenance, but really did not drive it very much. They had some work done to the motor so you do not have to mix the fuel any more. Along with some other work, that I have receipts for. I also have the title from them in Kansas, 05/05/93 mileage 98,267. I received the car on 11/26/2007. The car ran well and drove great. I probably put about 150-200 miles on it before the carburetor went out. At this point it was placed back in the garage and I drove my other car. At some point my neighbor rebuilt the carburetor but we never tried to fire the car up. We needed garage space back so we put it in my step-fathers hanger behind his airplane (He is a pilot and AP Mechanic). Where he has done a bit of work, but never finish whatever he was doing. But to bring this long story short. My parents are getting a divorce and I had the car towed to my apartment, where it now sits outside under a car cover. As much it kills me to sell the car, but I have to. I was laid of a decent paying job, and picked up a part time job. I am starting college soon and will need the money. I also need a new(er) car, as I had to sell my other car to pay rent... But this brings the car to its present state. The cars body is in good shape, not perfect (paint chips). But there is no rust I can spot once so ever, solid floor pans. Decent looking interior (If the car goes over $5,250 I can have the interior re-done. Mother is a seamstress who works on Golfstream aircrafts), but shows it's age around the corners. The brakes gone soft, I think there is air in them from siting. There is not much gas in the car. But the car turns over as soon as I connect the battery, note the keys would be in my pocket. The top does not leak, but I would probably just replace it. Would not take much to get this car show quality. More detail photos to come, please note some jerk snapped the antenna off...On Jan-24-11 at 07:49:15 PST, seller added the following information: My mother just informed me she can't do the interior, she just accepted a job in another state and will not be able to do the interior anymore. Since the price has not reached $5,249.99. It's only fair to inform you if it does, the option to have the interior re-done by her is no longer an option. So please do no aspect it to be re-done, it's in pretty good shape as is. But again will not be done, I am very sorry. I been getting allot of questions about this car, most of them was answered in the ad it self. The car in it's present state does not run. But it does turn over and would not take much at all to get running. You are free to come when ever you would like to view the car. Please come during the day, so you can see the car for what it truly is. I have no problem in showing the car at night, but I do not understand it. Please e-mail or call for questions. More pics soon. ~Steven 352-455-1080On Jan-25-11 at 10:35:37 PST, seller added the following information: I just recently took about 43 large pics for your viewing, mostly detailing the underside of the car. If you need to see this, please feel free to send me an e-mail address. The car does have a power top, with drum brakes at all four corners. A while back (few months) I had a few garages take a look. I was quoted $700-1200 to get it running. That including getting the brakes service. So that tells me with there hourly charge, if you know you way around a winch. You can do it much cheaper. ~StevenOn Jan-26-11 at 15:44:13 PST, seller added the following information: http://s1086.photobucket.com/albums/j454/StvenH90/ Pics. ~StevenOn Jan-27-11 at 07:42:48 PST, seller added the following information: If you have 90% or below feed back, please contact me or come look at the car in person.
