1970 Plymouth Road Runner HEMI ORANGE 440 6pack Air Grabber Hood Start outside with the killer look. Hemi Orange paint might not be factory original on this car, but it looks great, so who can blame the restorer? Glossy paint covers very straight panels as the base for all of the factory options from the blacked out stripes on the hood to the tail stripe in reflective black. 15” chrome Magnum 500’s look fantastic at all four corners, as do the 225/70/15 radial GT RWL. Chrome items from the bumpers to the door handles and side view mirror either are or shine like new. The grille was treated to a full restoration with argent paints and looks great. The Air Grabber is definitely the top option here, and with the hood pins , stripes and big “440+6” decals looks amazing. The stance is right and the color scheme can’t be argued with--the car’s a winner! Put the car on the lift and see everything’s new. The car was restored in 2002. Please understand that when I say new, the parts where new in 2002! The front and rear suspensions feature new parts and where highly detailed when restored about 8 years prior. The has been driven since and could use an undercarriage detail. The rear has 4.10 gears. The A727 transmission wasn rebuilt during the restoration restoration. There’s a new fuel tank, new brake components and new lines everywhere. There’s a new dual exhaust system with tough sounding Flow-master mufflers and chrome tips for the sound and the look. The floors are clean sheet metal covered in Hemi Orange paint-this car looks as good underneath. The real star of this show is under the hood--the rebuilt H440HP mill topped with a freshened and ready to go six pack. The engine is coated in clean Mopar Hemi Orange paint while the air cleaner is its own correct shade. Stock manifolds carry away spent fuel while a Mopar electronic ignition provides the spark. A fresh radiator, new hoses and wiring and new tune up parts means this runner’s ready to go! Hop inside the fully restored interior and get comfortable. Those are new seat covers under you, new door panels at your sides, a origional dash pad up front, a new headliner up top and new carpeting below. The sill plates brighten your entry while origional gauges with an in dash tach let you know what’s going on up front. That’s the correct console shifter in your right hand and an original steering wheel in your left. This is a comfortable cruiser ready for show duties and the open road! With this Road Runners leaving the factory carrying Mopar’s standard 383 hi performance the current drivetrail allows this car to really scream! With excellent cosmetics, the original fender tag for documentation and an upward trend in values this is an excellent investment car which is simply a flat-out blast to own! Overall the car is in excellent shape. Please study the pictures and ask question. Only thing not working is the speedometer. Also currently the heater core is being replaced along with new factory style heater hoses. Also included are a new set of wheel well moldings that cost $400. Thanks!
