Vehicle Detail

Up for bid is is this gorgeous 1986 Mercedes 190E 2.3-16 valve Cosworth with 89,500 actual miles. This car is owned by my 95 yr old grandfather. This is a New York car with NO Salt Rust or corrosion, has always been garaged and has been well maintained. This car is in excellent condition especially when you take into consideration that it is 25 years old. This model Mercedes was only in production for two years with only 350 produced for the U.S. market in 1986 and only 500 in 1987.According to my research, this model set 31 world records for it's class. This car has the popular racey 5 speed manual transmission. This is a totally unmolested, original car. Within the last 10,000 miles it has received new tires (Pirellis), brakes, rotors, brake master cylinder, muffler, alternator and battery. When the brakes were being done the mechanic inspected the whole car and was surprised at how excellent the condition was. He especially commented about how good the rubber bushings were. I would rate the exterior of this car a 8.5 out of a possible 10. One of the Rims is a little faded, there is slight spider cracking the size of a fist on the rear driver fender, and one or two very small scratches. As for the condition of the inside, the leather seats look like they are almost new. With my 95yr old grandfather being the only one using the car the seats look practically new. All the door panels are in excellent condition. The speedometer needle broke off and can be replaced for very cheaply. The drivers side window rolls down perfectly and needs help 50% of the way up to finish closing. Finally the knob of the shifter is slightly falling off and has been glued back on. The carpets look practically new and have always been protected with Mercedes floor mats.I would also rate the interior a strong 9 out of a possible 10. You can call (914) 497 1981 and I will be happy to answer any of your questions or email you more photos. This same vehicle just sold on ebay with 136,000 miles, several dents and clear coat fading for $7,200. The asking price is very fair! Photos of all the above to come. I strongly recommend coming to take a look at the car. The interest I have already had is overwhelming. I AM HAPPY TO ARRANGE SHIPPING THE VEHICLE ANYWHERE IN THE COUNTRY. I HAVE CHECKED AND IT WOULD BE LESS THEN $1,000 FOR ANY STATE
