1970 ford maverick, this car has been restored. THERE IS NO DRIVETRAIN. this is not a project car. the car has not been cut up. the car can be made to look stock again simply by changing the wheels, and chroming the bumpers. the car started out as a very clean iowa car, i bought it for 2200.00 with a running 302 V8 motor and c4 transmission. i sold the drivetrain, my intentions were to run something real radical but i never got to the drivetrain part of this build. the car was completly taking apart and the body was sent to a very reputable high end paint shop in my area. i bought a HOUSE OF KOLORS tangelo pearl orange paint system for 1200.00 the paint shop painted the car in pieces. paint job cost 5900.00. the paint on this car is blinding. its a real head turner. after the paint i bought a new rubber weatherstrip kit for 400.00... all of the rubber for the car is new, windows,trunk,doors rubber stops and bumpers and grometts of all types. i then purchased a new front suspention kit with new control arms, springs, shocks, everything. the car recieved all new disc brakes up front with all new hardware and lines and master cylinder at a cost of 695.00... i then purchase a ford 8 inch rearend that was rebuilt with a new posi and 390 gears and all new brakes with new drums and lines for 895.00... the inside of the car was very nice to start with. someone at one time had the front bench seat redone and its really nice. now everyone will say why not find some nice bucket seats? well i like the look of the little bench seat so i left it that way. the back seats are excellent, headliner is great, door panels, all inside trim everything is very very nice. i added new carpet and i restored the dash cluster with new white face gauges and restored the complete housing with higher watt bulbs and cleand all of the contacts for the program and bulb sockets. i added a new steering wheel and all hardware, new 10000 RPM shift light tach with all new gauges. i reinstalled the B&M qaurter stick shifter with cable its all very nice. i then purchased a set of 4 GT MUSTANG wheels and tires at a cost of 600.00, i feel that these wheels give the car a real nice look. tires are BF GOODRICH traction ta 215/65/16 all around. all new lugs and studs all grade 8 hardware. just about every nut and bolt on this car has been replaced or restored. the car has alot of NOS parts. i bought a NOS grill for 125.00 i bought new NOS lenses for the turn signal assemblys and grill lights. all of the wireing for the car was gone through, some replaced with NOS wireing, some just checked and cleand. everything on this car is hooked up and wired. there is a new heater core and hoses, new clamps, new deep cell battery with cables, new regulator and solinoid. all of the wiper arms have been polished and rubber replaced. all of the stainless has been polished. new rear deck tray with 6x9 speakers. the heater control plate is NOS. this car has all of the V8 motor mounts both steel and rubber along with the transmission cross member and mount. gas pedal and cable all hooked up. well i am sure i am missing something but as you can see this is a really nice car. i have over 12000 dollars into the car without labor. WHAT THE CAR NEEDS! the car needs a drivetrain, driveshaft, bleed the brakes, add a exshaust, go driving. its not a project where you will get nickel and dimed to death trying to round up all of the parts. car will be sold as is. i am not intrested in trades. i can accept a deposit through pay pal, balance to be paid with in 48 hours of auctions end. i will accept cash, cashiers check, would consider pay pal for full amount if winner pays the fees. can store car for 30 days in heated garage for no charge but car must be paid in full. thank youOn Jan-24-11 at 21:00:33 PST, seller added the following information: HELLO, I WANTED TO THANK EVERYONE WHO HAS EMAILED AND SHOWN INTREST IN THE CAR.
