1929 FORD ROADSTER…REPLICA…RUMBLE SEAT DUAL SIDE MOUNT SPARE TIRES…GLEAMING CHROME...COOL HORN 302 ENGINE…AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION…COVERTIBLE TOP RACK-AND PINION POWER STEERING…DRIVE ANYWHERE BRILLANT RED PAINT…VERY NICE INTERIORPOWER DISC BRAKE MY PICTURES: The radiator hood ornament is not on in some of the pictures, it was off when I bought the car, I have now installed it. This is a great looking car, but pictures make it look like a $100,000 show car. Its just a nice car with nice paint, chrome and interior. UP FRONT: You might as well to know up front that I’m asking $14,850 for the car and the lowest I will take is $13,850. This is a firm price and I will not take a trade. I know I can sell the car for that much, because it’s a bargain. VIN 1502 MILEAGE . 39215 : HISTORY: This CAR came from the flat lands of Georgia where they grow pecans, peaches and peanuts. I bought it from a man that had owned it for over 10 years and said he had put less than 500 miles on it. He lived near Atlanta, Georgia. TITLE: Clear Georgia registration of title in hand number 998024010434013, Georgia does it a little different, but I have everything it takes. IS THERE ANY RUST PROBLEMS? None, the body is fiber-glass, the frame is rock solid with no rust problems. IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE? None that I can find. WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR? I’m a classic car restorer, but when I find a car I like, can sell for a fair market price and make a few bucks, I buy it fix a few things and resell. PAINT: Very nice torch red paint, it shines like a red ruby, it has no cracks, no runs, no dry spots, no dents, no dings and is straight to look down the sides. I found 5 or 6 small rock chips down low that have been touched up. CHROME: Super nice chrome, I found about 8 super tiny pits in all of it, no rust and no dulling, INTEROR: The interior is nice with no wear, no holes, no burned places, the job was done very professional, it has no puckers or wrinkles. The material is a soft cloth with 29 embroidered in the center of the seats. The only thing I can find is on the custom made floor mats, the drivers is very fuzzy in the center. UNSERSIDE: No rust problems, the frame is good and all the fabrication is good. GLASS: Windshield is clear, the car has side curtains that snap on. One of the flaps that go at the back is missing, its about 4 inches wide and the height of the window opening, any upholstery shop could make you one, but I don’t think I would ever use the side curtains. CONVERTIBLE TOP: It is very good with no holes and no cracks, you pull 2 pins to lay it back. ENGINE: Very strong running Ford 302 with a Edelbrock carburetor. EXHAUST SYSTEM: Dual exhaust with a mellow sound, they are old school glass packs. TRANSMISSION: 3 speed automatic. REAR-END: 8 inch Ford. BRAKES: Disc on the front and drums on the rear, they are power assisted and stop good. STEERING: Mustang 2 front end, this is rack-and-pinion and it drives good. The passengers side outer seal is leaking, I have a new rack-and-pinion assembly coming and hope to get it put on today. WHEELS AND TIRES : They are aluminum wheels and the tires are good radials. LIGHTS and wiring: The headlights work, the tail lights work, the turn signals work, the emergency flashers work, the interior light works, the running lights just below the windshield are just for looks, they don't even have wiring. GUAGES: Gas gauge works, oil gauge works, temperature gauge works. WIPERS WORK but need new rubber blades! Model A sounding horn works! Heater works! Radio works! AIR CONDITIONING: The blower runs, but it does not cool, past owner had not used it in many years, he said he didn’t need it. You will need to have it charged up in the spring if you want it to work. HOW DOES THE HOOD FIT: It fits real bad! The front shape to the radiator shell is not good on the corners. The hood is fiber-glass and the way it is, is the way it is. The side panels are metal, you could put a metal hood on it and shape it to the radiator. The original Model A hood didn’t fit like a show car. HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE? I think they open and close good! The doors and hood need adjustment before painting the truck. I don't know the builder of the car, I'm pretty sure its built in a factory, because of the VIN and from inspecting the car. For mechanical parts a 1980 Ford Mustang was used, so you buy for a 1980 Mustang. Ford body parts that bolt on just buy for a 1929 model A, just buy 1929 Model A. TRADES: Please no trades, they never work out and are just to hard! The rest of the information is boring unless you are really interested in buying the car, its just buying details like shipping, paperwork, who I am, where the car is located and how to pay and contact information. If you have to ask your wife, borrow the money, sell your car or want to trade: Please don’t waste our time, I work hard and don’t have time to waste! I will be very happy to answer any question about the car if you have real interest. CONTACT INFO: my cell is 423-506-8987, I do not answer when driving, while meeting with people, after about 8:00 PM Eastern Time or on Sunday morning or Sunday nights. Please leave a voice mail and I’ll get back. I do check my emails several times a day. cell 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com THE GAME: I don’t play the game like most sellers! I tell you who I am, how to contact me, where the vehicle is located, lots of details and welcome you to come and look at the vehicle. I don’t put my vehicles up for auction because it a big joke, most sellers just have their buddy’s bid the auction up to what they want. Read the who your buying from section, I’m 64 years old, I have been a auto mechanics instructor, was an instructor in the US Army aviation school for Chinook helicopters and sold a good business to retire and play with classic cars. PAPERWORK: I know what to do! We are just a father/son 2 man operation, but we are a Tennessee licensed/bonded car dealer and have sold cars all over the US and exported many. THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION, THIS IS A FIXED PRICE LISTING: I reserve the right to stop the listing at any time and sale the car “come look”. I RESERVE TH RIGHT TO STOP THE LISTING AT ANY TIME. THE CAR IS FOR SALE ON THE LOCAL MARKET. WHERE THE CAR IS LOCATED: The car is here at my home in Athens, Tennessee. Athens is in east Tennessee, we are 50 miles south of Knoxville. Look at a Road Atlas and follow interstate 75 south from Knoxville. I live one mile and one turn from the interstate exit. My zip code is 37303. The closest large airport is Knoxville. Athens does have a good small airport, but has no commercial flights. WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM: My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of Athens, Tennessee “Athens is called the friendly city”. We are located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee. I am 64 years old and work with my son Keith who is now 38. I am now retired and living my dream restoring, selling and improving classic cars. For 12 years I was an auto mechanics instructor at Tennessee Technology Center here in Athens. I am also a veteran of the US Army; I served as a Chinook helicopter mechanic, crew chief and instructor in the late 60s, I did spend a year in Vietnam. I’m Southern Baptist faith and proud to be an American. I’ve been married to the same good woman for almost 41 years. LIFE IS GOOD IN THE GREEN HILLS OF EAST TENNESSEE! TRANSPORT: EBAY MOTORS gives 3 instant transport quotes if you click on the link on my listing. US TRANSPORT: “No problem”, I can recommend a very large company, McNutt Auto Transport Service 800-755-2324. “open carrier only” US OR EXPORT “the best”: Classic Car Transport, LLC: This is a very good company that will handle any type of transport in the US or overseas with the white glove treatment. Call Steve at 913-749-0948 Email stevens@classiccartransport.com MY AREA CODE FOR TRANSPORT: The area code for Athens, Tennessee is 37303. I live 1 mile off a major interstate (I-75)and 35 miles south of interstate 40, so transport is usually very fast. PAYMENT: I require a $250 deposit for a Buy Now or to hold the car. Option 1: Pay the old school way face to face. Option 2: Pay by check, I will wait till the check clears, I have had a fake bank certified check. Option 3: The safest is to let our banks handle it, my bank is a member of the US Federal Reserve, this is called wire transfer. Option 4: Pay Pal is good, but it cost a lot. It cost me around 3%, I will take it, but you will have to add 3% to the price. WILL I HOLD THE CAR UNTIL YOU GET HERE TO LOOK OR HAVE IT INSPECTED? Not without a $250 non-refundable deposit! I have held too many cars that people promise me they are going to buy and they never show up, their wife won’t let them buy it, they can’t get a loan or they just back out. Before you drive or fly a long distance you need to make sure the car is not sold. “The way I look at it is until you pay a deposit your just looking and dreaming”. INSPECTIONS: Please come look and be happy. All inspections are required to be done before the end of the listing. I listed this car as I see it as a 64 year old car restorer, please come and judge it for your self. I judge the car to my standards, this may not be yours. Paid inspectors are unpredictable, you might get a good one, but most of them do not impress me at all, most really don’t know what to look at, they make a good car sound bad on the report. They have to be very critical to cover their back sides and all their concerned about is getting paid. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking, but I think you should come look yourself. I don’t like paid inspectors, I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear, don’t hit the buy now button and then inspect, come inspect first! TRADES: Please no trades! BOTTOM LINE: My firm price is $13,850 and I will be asking more at the big spring car shows. The game is not rocket science, ask a price and come down. It’s not fun to bargain over the cell phone all day long with people that live 2000 miles away and are not going to buy anyway. My firm price is the Buy Now price. I have sold every car I have ever tried to, so I’m not motivated to be bargained down. PLEASE!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! Please don’t hit the Buy Now button unless your ready to really buy it! Do your research, call me with questions, read my feed backs, I am ebay verified; this means they say I’m a real person in a real place. I WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO SELL YOU THE VEHICLE WITH-OUT AN INSPECTION; YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE A LOT OF NERVE AND PLEASE DON’T BE A CRY BABY. Read the ME section on the upper right hand part of the listing marked seller info. Thank You, Ron Watson cell: 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com IS THERE A WARRANTY? No!
