Another rare find here at The Auto House! I represent what I know and see, and sell my vehicles at more than fair prices! The car can be viewed and inspected at 6655 Brentwood Blvd. Brentwood, Northern CA, 94513. 1964 Chrysler Imperial Crown Sedan- Clean Title- CA registration just expired Dec-10-2010- I have new CA plates with just one of the original black plates. I am representing the miles as unknown. Engine- I believe it is a 413 V8- Edlebrock carb is on it now- Engine runs well- Transmission- Torqueflite pushbutton transmission control unit needs to be replaced or repaired. When the unit came in, I put the vehicle in reverse, neutral and drive. The vaccuum was operating but the controls were hanging. I had a "so called mechanic" look at the unit, play with the buttons, and now he said the controls are not working- As a result, she is stuck in low gear!!! You can drive it down the road but the buttons won't shift it out of low- I do not have a qualified person to fix it- I know the transmission is good and should probably spend the money to repair it because the rest of it is quite nice. Exterior- The bumpers, trim, emblems, glass- wow! Very nice shape- The passenger rear side have a couple of big chips out of the paint. All the doors and fenders line up well. The paint seems original with a little oxidation. Interior- overall pretty clean- The headliner is very nice! The rear seat is clean and the front has a bit of wear. The dash has one split in the center on the top. The front dash gauges all work and there is a front trim piece missing from the instrument panel. The radio turns on but the power antenna is in the trunk. The driver's door window control is missing so I can not test the windows. All the door panels are nice and handles present. The heater and defrost fan work but the heater does not get warm. Rust- just a couple of minor surface spots with some small corrosion forming in the back window area. Overall, it is in very nice shape- I believe that the pushbutton controls and the window switch is all you really need to roll this one down the road with style!! If the car doesn't bring enough, I'll keep her until I find someone to get those two items and fix it. The vehicle is sold as is where is with no implied warranty of anykind.
