1966 International Harvester Scout: I bought this Scout as a surprise gift for my wife to use as a ranch truck. She doesn’t know how to drive a stick and made it clear she does not intend to learn. Her gift became a restoration project for me, and now this awesome Scout is for sale. Body: Restored, all original body parts. Five-stage paint by House of Color, Marbleizer Green finished with three coats of Euro Clear. The paint has an animal-skin look. Hood has a genuine Jaguar hood ornament and the original International Harvester emblem. Two-tone silver and green marbleized removable cab cap with all new seals. New bumpers, front and rear, made of 3/16 2 inch x 4 inch steel. Original restored grill. Headlight rings and door handle chrome is in great shape. Rear tail lights are new. Raptor bed liner. Nuts, bolts, washers and screws have all been replaced with chrome, stainless steel or grade 8. Beautiful. Interior: Seat custom upholstered in a black ostrich-skin vinyl with green insert. All triple stitched. New, white faced gauges with green lights. Original steering wheel has been refinished and has a new steering-wheel wrap. All new window and door handles. New glove box, carpet, headliner and weather stripping. Front and rear window seals are also new. Dash painted in gloss black. All under-dash hoses (vacuum and heater) are new. Motor: Truck has 46,000 original miles. Engine transmission and all-wheel drive work like new.New water pump, fuel pump, master cylinder. Rebuilt alternator and starter. New belts, hoses and clamps. Re-built distributor. New header, exhaust, chrome muffler tip and shocks. New brakes and wheel cylinders. Wheels and Tires: New Mud Star 31 x 15’s. New wheels, lug nuts and bolts. Front hubs have been restored.
