Vehicle Detail
1967 FORD MUSTANG….REBUILT 289 ENGINE…AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION GLEAMING RED PAINT….SPARKLING CHROME..CRYSTAL CLEAR GLASS NO RUST ISSUES….NEW INTERIOR with OVERHEAD CONSOL 17 INCH SPECIAL EDITION American Racing Wheels…POWER STEERING UP FRONT SO YOU DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!! I don't play the game like most ebay sellers, I don't run a auction and let my buddies bid the price up, I just put my lowest price as a buy now price and wait till the car sales. I have sold every car I have ever tried to, because they are priced fair and I don't sugar coat the listing. If I take this car to a car show it will be higher and I'll let people bargain me down. VIN 7R01C105636 and the door tag and VIN stamped on the body match. DOOR TAG: 65B 1 6A 12J 72 6 W MILEAGE: 38,977 reading and I’m sure it has turned once. : HISTORY: I can’t tell you a lot other than it lived in Plant City, Florida and it went to a couple of auctions and came to me. TITLE: Clear Florida title in hand with a VIN that matches.. IS THERE ANY RUST PROBLEMS? None that I can find, all the floor pans look to be original. IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE? None that I can find. WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR? I’m a classic car restorer, but when I find a car I like, can sell for a fair market price and make a few bucks, I buy it fix a few things and resell. PAINT: The bright red paint shines like a red ruby, no rust, no dents, no dings and the panels fit is good for a Mustang. The trunk is up a little at the back due to tight rubber weather stripping. The car came with a vinyl top which has been taken off. I can tell the top and hood have been painted because they are a little slicker than the rest of the paint. I think the hood was painted because of bad hood hinges, the ones on it look new. The top was probably painted because the past owner just didn’t like the vinyl top or it was bad. I do see some tiny touched up chips down low. CHROME: Very nice chrome, bumper look new, the front bumper guards are dull, the door handles look new, the stainless around the windows look nice, the emblems look like new, the tail light bezels have some pits and the 1 front bumper guard has piting, the bumpers are nice. INTEROR: The upholstery all looks new, new carpet, new seat covers, new dash pad, new door panels, new kick panels, new head-liner, new step plates, new window and door handles. The dash plates look to be the originals and are a little dull. RADIO: It’s a after market AM FM cassette that fits the hole without cutting, the speakers are in the rear widow area. UNSERSIDE: Great, no rust issues. GLASS: New windshield, the side windows are clear and roll up and down good, the back window is good. All the weather stripping is great. ENGINE: The engine is a rebuilt 289, it has no pings, no knocks, no blue smoke and runs strong. I can not document the built job. It has a 4 barrel Edelbrock carburetor and all new hoses. EXHAUST SYSTEM: Dual exhaust that sounds good, it has a deep mellow sound. TRANSMISSION: The transmission is a 3 speed automatic that shifts as it should, it’s a C4. REAR-END: 8 inch rear-end that has no growls or whines. BRAKES: Power brakes that stop good. STEERING: Power steering, the car drives great and has no loose parts. WHEELS AND TIRES: Real nice wheels! They are American Racing limited edition 17 inch wheels that use no adapters. I heard a rub on a hard turn backing out of my garage, but no problem. LIGHTS: They all work other than the map lights in the overhead consol. GUAGES: They all work. SPEEDOMETER WORKS! WIPERS WORK! GAS GAUGE WORKS! HORN DOES NOT WORK! HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE? I think they open and close good! TRADES: Please no trades, they never work out and are just to hard! The rest of the information is boring unless you are really interested in buying the car, its just buying details like shipping, paperwork, who I am, where the car is located and how to pay and contact information. I use ebay listings as advertisement and don’t put my cars up for auction. I’m old and can do what I want to and most people like a direct and honest approach to selling, not the have your buddy bid the car up thing or ask a inflated dream price. If you have to ask your wife, borrow the money, sell your car or want to trade: Please don’t waste our time, I work hard and don’t have time to waste! I will be very happy to answer any question about the car if you have real interest. CONTACT INFO: my cell is 423-506-8987, I do not answer when driving, while meeting with people, after about 8:00 PM Eastern Time or on Sunday morning or Sunday nights. Please leave a voice mail and I’ll get back. I do check my emails several times a day. cell 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com THE GAME: I don’t play the game like most sellers! I tell you who I am, how to contact me, where the vehicle is located, lots of details and welcome you to come and look at the vehicle. I don’t put my vehicles up for auction because it a big joke, most sellers just have their buddy’s bid the auction up to what they want. Read the who your buying from section, I’m 64 years old, I have been a auto mechanics instructor, was an instructor in the US Army aviation school for Chinook helicopters and sold a good business to retire and play with classic cars. PAPERWORK: I know what to do! We are just a father/son 2 man operation, but we are a Tennessee licensed/bonded car dealer and have sold cars all over the US and exported many. THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION, THIS IS A FIXED PRICE LISTING: I reserve the right to stop the listing at any time and sale the car “come look”. I RESERVE TH RIGHT TO STOP THE LISTING AT ANY TIME. THE CAR IS FOR SALE ON THE LOCAL MARKET. WHERE THE CAR IS LOCATED: The car is here at my home in Athens, Tennessee. Athens is in east Tennessee, we are 50 miles south of Knoxville. Look at a Road Atlas and follow interstate 75 south from Knoxville. I live one mile and one turn from the interstate exit. My zip code is 37303. The closest large airport is Knoxville. Athens does have a good small airport, but has no commercial flights. I WILL ONLY PICK YOU UP AT THE AIR PORT IF THE CAR IS PAID FOR IN FULL, I HAVE MADE TOO MANY WILD GOOSE CHASES! RENTAL CARS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE AIRPORT FOR A VERY REASONABLE RATE! WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM: My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of Athens, Tennessee “Athens is called the friendly city”. We are located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee. I am 64 years old and work with my son Keith who is now 38. I am now retired and living my dream restoring, selling and improving classic cars. For 12 years I was an auto mechanics instructor at Tennessee Technology Center here in Athens. I am also a veteran of the US Army; I served as a Chinook helicopter mechanic, crew chief and instructor in the late 60s, I did spend a year in Vietnam. I’m Southern Baptist faith and proud to be an American. I’ve been married to the same good woman for almost 41 years. LIFE IS GOOD IN THE GREEN HILLS OF EAST TENNESSEE! TRANSPORT: EBAY MOTORS gives 3 instant transport quotes if you click on the link on my listing. US TRANSPORT: “No problem”, I can recommend a very large company, McNutt Auto Transport Service 800-755-2324. “open carrier only” US OR EXPORT “the best”: Classic Car Transport, LLC: This is a very good company that will handle any type of transport in the US or overseas with the white glove treatment. Call Steve at 913-749-0948 Email stevens@classiccartransport.com MY AREA CODE FOR TRANSPORT: The area code for Athens, Tennessee is 37303. I live 1 mile off a major interstate (I-75)and 35 miles south of interstate 40, so transport is usually very fast. PAYMENT: I require a $250 deposit for a Buy Now or to hold the car. Option 1: Pay the old school way face to face. Option 2: Pay by check, I will wait till the check clears, I have had a fake bank certified check. Option 3: The safest is to let our banks handle it, my bank is a member of the US Federal Reserve, this is called wire transfer. Option 4: Pay Pal is good, but it cost a lot. It cost me around 3%, I will take it, but you will have to add 3% to the price. WILL I HOLD THE CAR UNTIL YOU GET HERE TO LOOK OR HAVE IT INSPECTED? Not without a $250 non-refundable deposit! I have held too many cars that people promise me they are going to buy and they never show up, their wife won’t let them buy it, they can’t get a loan or they just back out. Before you drive or fly a long distance you need to make sure the car is not sold. “The way I look at it is until you pay a deposit your just looking and dreaming”. INSPECTIONS: Please come look and be happy. All inspections are required to be done before the end of the listing. I listed this car as I see it as a 64 year old car restorer, please come and judge it for your self. I judge the car to my standards, this may not be yours. Paid inspectors are unpredictable, you might get a good one, but most of them do not impress me at all, most really don’t know what to look at, they make a good car sound bad on the report. They have to be very critical to cover their back sides and all their concerned about is getting paid. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking, but I think you should come look yourself. I don’t like paid inspectors, I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear, don’t hit the buy now button and then inspect, come inspect first! TRADES: Please no trades! BOTTOM LINE: My firm price is $13,850 and I will be asking more at the big spring car shows. The game is not rocket science, ask a price and come down. It’s not fun to bargain over the cell phone all day long with people that live 2000 miles away and are not going to buy anyway. My firm price is the Buy Now price. I have sold every car I have ever tried to, so I’m not motivated to be bargained down. PLEASE!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! Come look at this vehicle. Please don’t hit the Buy Now button unless your ready to really buy it! Do your research, call me with questions, read my feed backs, I am ebay verified; this means they say I’m a real person in a real place. I WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO SELL YOU THE VEHICLE WITH-OUT AN INSPECTION; YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE A LOT OF NERVE AND PLEASE DON’T BE A CRY BABY. Read the ME section on the upper right hand part of the listing marked seller info. Thank You, Ron Watson cell: 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com IS THERE A WARRANTY? No!
