1989 Black Dodge Raider I am the second registered owner of this one family owned vehicle. The original purchase price was just under $17,000. It was garage kept the first 10 years. It was never used off-road, however it was used in the snow. It is by far the best 4WD I've ever owned, and I own many. The 4WD with auto-lock hubs, transmission, and air conditioner work perfectly. Engine has always started right up and has passed inspection every time. During this past summer, the water pump started to make noise and eventually began leaking. I added stop leak which corrected the problem for a few months. The water pump started leaking again and needs to be replaced. I purchased a new water pump and a repair manual for the vehicle, but I never got around to doing it. The engine has always run perfectly, but sometimes the oil gauge reads lower than expected. Once the water pump is out, it's only a small amount of effort to change the oil pump which I recommend. The interior is in very good shape for its age. Pictures show a couple of cuts on the headliner. The body is also in very good shape, especially for an East Coast vehicle. The pictures show rust on the upper part of the rear wheel wells. There is also rust between the rear bumper and body on the driver's side. The driver door had an ugly dent in it prior to my owning it, and it was replaced. The clear coat has peeled off the hood and roof, also shown in pictures. The driver's window handle knob is missing, but you are still able to roll the window up and down. It has one brand new tire on it; the other three are dry-rotted. The spare tire exploded while on the carrier due to dry rot. I am including the new water pump and manual in the auction. (801)
