Vehicle Detail
I have a lot of time, effort and money into listing this motorcycle on ebay. Please be respectful of that and do not bid until you have read the entire description/terms of the auction and are certain that you intend to follow through with the sale. Your bid is a contract to buy. I have the listing set up to accept bids only from US bidders in an effort to prevent scammers from ruining my auction. If you are a legitimate bidder outside of the US and you have a way to have the bike picked up at my location without it being crated, e-mail me at cbednas@yahoo.com to provide me with your ebay ID and confirm that you can arrange international shipping, then I will add you to the list that allows you to bid. Most T150s were four-speed models. This one is the later, sought after five-speed model. It is in pretty nice cosmetic shape overall. The paint has some crazing in it and is bubbling on the top of the tank. The inside of the tank has surface rust and the remains of an old Kreem job. It will need to be cleaned out. The chrome has some pitting here and there but looks pretty nice. I have a set of new-in-the-wrapper fork tubes and fork seals to go with the bike. I have a set of better mufflers to go with the bike. If you don't want to keep the clubman bars and Norman Hyde rear sets on it, I have a set of stock handlebars, what I think are the stock foot pegs (they came with the bike), and a stock shifter. You would need a stock brake pedal to make the switch. The center stand is a little bent but I have a straight one to go with it. The side stand sticks almost straight out horizontally, so the bike leans very far over when on the side stand. The mounting lug does not look damaged or bent, so it is probably the stand itself. The chain guard is bent. The front brake has no pressure at the lever, so it will need to be filled and bled. The carbs are not on the bike, are dismantled and will need to be cleaned. The air filters are aftermarket foam items. The pin that mounts the kick starter to the shaft is not driven all the way through the hole on the kick starter and is stuck. Because of this, the kick starter lever has a little play in it but still kicks the engine over. The engine kicks over with good compression and the transmission shifts through all the gears. This is a numbers-matching, five-speed Trident that won't take much to get wailing down the road again. There are 85 clickable thumbnails below detailing the condition of the bike, and more showing the extra parts. If you click on the pictures again after they open, they get even larger. Please look at all of them carefully and ask any questions you have before bidding. You can call me at 773-474-1744, e-mail me at cbednas@yahoo.com or contact me through ebay. The bike is located in the city of Chicago. I can show the bike almost anytime. Shipping a motorcycle can be expensive, so be sure to look into it before bidding. The zip code is 60608 to help in figuring shipping. Winning bidder picks up in Chicago or arranges for/pays for all shipping/crating. I'll deliver, uncrated, to local shipper for $150 extra. I'll deliver within 100 miles of Chicago for $1.50 per mile round trip ($20 minimum). $100 deposit via PayPal due within 24 hours of auction close. Remainder via one of the standard payment methods within three days. No PayPal for remainder unless you contact me first. The bike is to be picked up within three weeks of auction close. $25 per week storage fee after that. On Jan-09-11 at 11:39:46 PST, seller added the following information: I have had a lot of comments about the year of the bike; every one stating that it is a 1974, not a 1975. The title says 1975, so I was going with that. Back then, a lot of states titled the bikes with the year they were first registered rather than the year of manufacturer, so it seems that this is a 1974 titled as a 1975. The numbers on the title match the numbers on the bike.
