Vehicle Detail

This is a 1969 Pontiac LeMans Convertible that I bought several years ago with hopes of maybe converting it to a nice GTO clone one day. I have not been able to enjoy this car so far, even though it runs and drives well, but circumstances force me to sell it now. If you are looking for a show car this is not a good candidate. Even though the photos make this car look great, it is just a decent looking old muscle car that you can drive around and enjoy. However, with a little time, money, and care this could be a nice show car someday. But, mainly it is a great car to just get in and enjoy driving around for now. The previous owner gave me a folder full of receipts that show some work has been done over the years to keep this car on the road and I will hand that folder over to the winner of the auction. I even have a few spare parts that will go with the car as well. Body is fair. Some body work was done in the past and it seems new quarters were put on at some point. The rest of the body is OK. Someone molded the front valance into the front fenders, so that bodywork is now cracking. The trunk is rusted out im the corners, but luckily the guy I bought this car from gave me a brand new 1pc trunk to put in. The floors and the rest of the underside of the car are in pretty good shape, see pics for more. The engine and trans work good. The guy I bought this car from gave me a stack of receipts where the engine was rebuilt. It is a 350ci and has a Holley 4bbl carb. It actually runs really good. Has an HEI ignition and Accel Super Coil. Tranny is a T350 and seems to shift well. It has fairly new dual exhaust with flowmasters and actually sounds really nice like a V8 muscle car should. The brakes, suspension, and steering all seem very good and the car runs smoothly down the highway. I think some of those receipts have some suspension parts and stuff, so I have to think at some point the whole suspension was rebuilt. It is a non air conditioning car and has manual windows and locks. The convertible top is in poor shape and the frame is missing some proper bolts and has some bends in it. I have not tried to put the top down, but the previous owner told me that he could manually put it up and down. The bolts are all kind of loose and it was power at some point. It will need some frame repair or replacement as well as fabric. The interior is in fair shape. Looks like it was converted from bench to buckets and a B & M floor shifter is installed. Gas gauge doesn't work and door locks need to be changed. The rear drivers window fell off the track and is down in the door. I just haven't had time to fish it out and fix it. I never got a key for the trunk and never opened it, but you can access the trunk from the back seat for now. The Pontiac Rally wheels are in good shape and have the nice trim rings. Tires are pretty good as well, but are a little old so you may want to replace eventually. Overall this is a really good driving car that just needs some attention and minor fixing. My plan was to fix this car up and enjoy, but life has changed for me and I don't have the time or money to see that to completion.
