1998 Volkswagen Beetle Diesel. Hard to find. Takes about 48-50 mpg on highway and about 42-44 mpg in town. Runs great on biodiesel. Manual transmission. Exterior and interior in very good condition. Runs great. Very roomy inside and very clean. 5 years ago installed new chip with europian program. This chip added more than 40 hp and 60 torque on this engine. Had been stored last 2 years in the barn in my summer house. Put a new battery. No mechanicak problems at all. After staying in the barn for 2 years some electrical problems appeared: 1. Keyless remote control does not unlock the doors. However all doors can be locked and un-locked automatically with a key. 2. Power Windows does not work. 3. Trunk light on the dashboard stays on all the time. 4. When you turn on the key to start the car, it starts beeping (like doors are open) for 30 seconds or so. When you turn on the headlights, it's start beeping again for 30 seconds. I beleave all these problems related to wiring shortanage somewhere. I do not want to spend any time and money to fix it.
