Vehicle Detail
1965 Ford Mustang This car was built in a California Ford plant where it stayed its entire life until 3 years ago. Originally the car was an inline 6 cylinder with a manual three speed transmission. Car restoration completed 3 years ago, it now has a built New Mexico block 302, bored .30. Forged crank, rods and Pistons, ford racing windage tray, flat top cast pistons, balanced and blue printed rotating assembly, world JR heads 202 intake 1.70 exhaust, comp cams 268 hydraulic cam, roller timing chain, roller rockers, hardened push rods, summit racing shelby copy cat 180 degree intake manifold. Engine has 10.1 Compression Ratio, estimated 400HP (never been on a dyno) . Eddlebrock 4 barrel 650 carb. Headers w/ 2 1/2 inch exhaust 2 chamber 40 series Flowmaster set up. Car has a very nice sounding cam, sounds mean running thru the 2 1/2 inch exhaust. 4 speed top loader transmission, center force billet flywheel 40lbs, 11 in daul friction clutch, 1970 351c iron bell housing (solid set up) new brass bearings and all seals. Comes with hurst shifter. Ford 9' posi traction rear end, 373 gears, about 900 miles on new drive train. Car was taken apart prepped and painted piece by piece and then rebuilt NO RUST or BONDO ANYWHERE! Body has Shelby hood and side scoops. This paint job alone would cost you $9,000. New carpet, headliner, all seats rebuilt with new foam and leather. Last summer I spent $1800.00 on new polished aluminum Torque Thrust (American Racing) wheels, with new BF Goodrich G-Force 225/50 ZR 16 (front) 245/50 ZR (rear). Rear tires are little meaty but still flush with wheel well. Car has been upgraded from a four lug to a five lug nut set up. This car has been done with class and shows very well...NOTHING but compliments!!! Car has never been raced or even been on a track, only taken care off and enjoyed. Car comes with car cover and some extra parts: mustang pony for front grill, extra headliner, firewall padding, used Eddlebrock 600cfm carburetor (in box), Cobra air cleaner set up and other odds and ends all of which go with the car. OVER $25K INVESTED, my loss is your gain. If you're looking for that big block sound with a touch of class, then this is the car for you. On Jan-02-11 at 22:18:12 PST, seller added the following information: We are NOT selling the mustang for financial reasons, we are selling "Sally" because we simply have too many toys and not enough room. We now spend and enjoy our free time at our cottage up north. (And well... the wife wants to park in the garage) The car has never been driven in the winter here in michigan, and has been stored in our garage. If you feel this is unfair please email me your case or situation. We will not ship outside of the United States. On Jan-05-11 at 12:09:27 PST, seller added the following information: I want to disclose on small mechanical issue with the car. During restoration the front end of the car was lowered about 3/4 of an inch. At that time I had smaller wheels and tires on the car and there where no issues at all. However, after upgrading the car with the (current) new wheels and tires the front right tire rubs the inside of the wheel-well. The rubbing causes NO damage to the tire or Wheel-well at all and the rubbing is NOT constant, its only over certain bumps. You can only hear a faint rubbing sound at best. There are two ways to solve the problem, the first is to get a different offset for the front rims. The second, is to obtain a new set of coil springs for the front end. I priced them at about $85.00 for a pair. This was my plan, but just don't have the time. This small issue has never stopped me from enjoying the car. Please call or email me with ANY questions you may have about the car.
