Up for sale is a 1966 Chevy Impala. This vehicle was bought new by my parents in 66. My mom drove the car mostly around town to do her errands. Around 1990, the car was parked in their garage and stored. It was started occasionally until the late 90's and after that it was not started or driven again. Last June my father passed away and now my mother would like to sell the car. I put new tires on it and towed it to my mechanic. Believe it or not, they put a new battery in the car and it started right up! My mechanic installed new plugs and wires; serviced the transmission and put new brake hardware on all 4 wheels. This thing still runs good. Forgot to mention it has a 283 V8 engine and a 2 speed Power-Glide Trans. The vehicle is all original with a few exceptions. It has an after market stereo/cassette player that is not working. The seats are original black vinyl with 2 small rips at a seam. The rest of the interior is in good shape. The exterior is the original factory paint in good condition with a few small scratches here and there. Nothing out of the ordinary for a car this age. It does need new rubber seals around the doors. As I mentioned the car still runs good; however, my mechanic told me due to the car's age there are minor things that probably should be replaced if someone were to drive it on a daily basis (hoses, etc.). 01/08/11 - I have received many questions regarding the original paperwork for the car.
