Vehicle Detail

1948 Cadillac convertible. This is a real convertible. Arizona custom project in storage over 30 years. This car was bought new in Arizona in 48 and stayed there until 1979. Some time in the late 60’s it became a custom project. It was chopped 3 inches and a 3 speed trans put in. The car was never finished and bought by a person in the Midwest in 1979. He put the car in storage and never touched it. The car has no rot that I can see including where the rear fenders bolt on. The left vent is chopped the right is done with the exception of one weld and chroming. The car does not have the correct seat in front and no rear seat. The engine runs great. The clutch and brake pedals along with the driveshaft are not installed, but are there. I think almost all the parts are there. I don’t think anything major is missing. I know the right gravel guard is missing and the top cylinders. The top cylinders you can buy new. The top pump and control valve are there along with all the lines. The inside window visors, and window regulators are all there. The window switches for front and back are all there and in great shape. The top bows are all there. The rear wood bow is broken and would need to replace or fixed. The rear interior quarter metal pieces are all there. It looks like the stainless on top of the doors and around the quarters is new or redone. The stainless for the front post is cut and polished. This car has a lot of extra parts that go with it. You can finish as is or remove the chop and make original. I can get an extra set of original vent windows if you want to go back to original. This needs some work to finish, but it is not a rot box and one cool looking ride. Sold where is as is. Please ask your questions and make your inspections before you bid. Shipping is buyers responsibility, but I will help arrange. Payment in full is due within 7 days of auction end by bank transfer or cash in person. E-mail or call 630-542-0031 with your questions. I will also have a 1947 Cadillac convertible, from California, in storage over 40 years, coming up for sale. This car is an original old hot rod with a 57 Eldorado dual quad motor. Thanks for looking!
