Vehicle Detail

Relisted due to non-paying buyer/scammer. I will not fall victim to an online scam, The terms are clear $200 deposit then cash or postal money order upon pickup. Also I will not accept "extra" money to hand over to your shipping agent. If you are having someone pick the car up for you then work out your shipping payment with them not me. First and foremost let me say that I really don't know anything about passats. I accepted this vehicle from a customer in trade for work. I have never registered it or driven it. It has sat for about a year now. When I first received it I installed new brake pads and rotors front and rear. I also performed a complete tune-up. After a month or two I discovered that the alternator was not functioning properly. I replaced it with an OE alternator and then realized I needed a battery as well. This is where it gets too complex for me. After disconnecting the battery and reinstalling a new one the car idled low and rough, and wasn't drive-able. In other words you could rev it up in park or neutral but if you put it into drive and gave it the gas it would fall on its face and stall. I had a friend hook a scanner up to the OBD2 port to try and read the computer the only code stored was as follows: "P1545 Manufacturer controlled vehicle speed, Idle control and auxilary input." I spoke to a volkswagon service manager about four months ago and he told me that you cannot just replace batteries on these cars because the throttle body needs to be reprogrammed after such a service. Apparently such a service can only be performed by a VW dealer. Now it has sat since then and I went to fire it up to try and sell it and it will not crank so I am tired and fed up with VW. I am cutting my losses and selling this car AS-IS. This engine sounded and ran great when I got it, I really feel just the engine alone is worth what I'd like to get for this vehicle. Now I don't know what is wrong and the car won't even crank over. Other known issues with the car are as follows: Needs a driver side window regulator~ it pops off its track sometimes Sun-roof has a small leak, luckily it is recalled by VW I just haven't been able to get the car to them so I kept it covered. Passenger side rear has a dent as seen in pictures I'd say the paint and body is average for an almost 12 year old car. Just to reiterate so there is no confusion; This car is sold AS-IS, It does not currently start but it did start and run rough as recently as the beginning of November. I do not know why it will not start, I can only assume it is related to the reprogramming needed for the throttle body, But I do not know for sure. I'm describing this vehicle to the best of my ability and would love for somebody with the time and know-how to be able to enjoy this car. If I discover anything new or remember anything I will revise my listing. I would like a $200 dollar non-refundable deposit through paypal at auction end and the balance paid in cash or postal money order, before the car leaves my sight. Title is clear and in-hand. If you have any questions please message me and I will try to help the best I can. I apologize for the pictures, some of them keep uploading upside down. On my computer they are fine but after uploading they are upside down. I will work on getting them right side up, but please be patient while I figure it out. Thanks!
