True SS numbers matching car, 12 bolt posi-trac, automatic, ( car originally had 4-speed) original engine rebuilt (500 miles) since rebuild. Job done by the best machine shop in the area. All new steel crank, pistons,(.30 over)new rods, mild cam (great sound) too much to list. 5K invested in engine. All moving parts in engine are new. Performer Series Edlebrock carb & intake,(have original) electric fuel pump with adj pressure, New brakes, tires, master cylinder, hoses, belts, harmonic balancer, aluminum radiator (have original) newfront end, (added disc brakes) New Flow Master exhaust 2 1/2 " pipes, headers, Mallory ign., new tires, shocks, Hi-Jacker air in rear, All major restoration is done. fenders, quarters, bumpers, paint, (no bondo), very little rust if any new Delco wiper motor. All new door rubbers and regulators. MUCH MUCH more. I got the car two years ago for Christmas from my wife of 37 years. I had a 1968 Chevelle SS 396 when we were dating and I have been wanting another one for years. I never intended to sell the car but, We own a small business in trouble and I really need to sell it. (I'm still waiting for my government bailout) I would like to have "first right of refusal" from the new owner if they decide to sell the car in the future. A lot more has been done to the car that I have reciepts for such as new rear view mirror, dome light, all new bulbs and bulb holders, halogen headlights and on and on. Most of the parts were bought from either O.P.G, Year One, or a local Chevrolet dealer. Here's what the car needs to complete restoration; Vinyl roof could stand to be replaced. It is the original and is showing it's age. Interior has new carpet, decent upholstry,brand new headliner. No cracks in dash, no major issues but really needs to have interior redone. Car needs GM side view mirrors, I had planned to re-do the trunk paint (inside) window regulators and door rubbers are new but need to be tinkered with to close properly.
