WILL GLADLY SEND YOU EXTRA PHOTOS I HATE TO SELL IT, BUT I AM MOVING OVERSEAS, AND THE TRUCK IS SO BIG THAT IT WILL NOT FIT ON MOST ROADS OVER THERE, AND GAS IS $6 PER GALLON IN EUROPE. I OWN THIS TRUCK OUT RIGHT, PURCHASED IT CASH MONEY, AND THE TITLE IS FREE AND CLEAR. I PURCHASED IT JUNE OF 2007, AND IT CAME FROM SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA. PROBLEMS THAT IT APPEAR TO BE HAVING: The front bumper is hanging down just a little bit, but it is tight; it was like that when I purchased it. Instead of repairing it, I was going to get an off-road bumper/cattle guard put on it. It will need the power-steering pump replaced, it is making intermittent whining noises, not bad enough to run out and get it done right now. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON, THE CODE READS TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING. THIS IS WHAT I AM THINKING... I THINK: I usually take my truck to the dealership for all repairs and oil changes, but when the dealership shut down, and the next one was not worth the travel, I took it to a small shop a few blocks from when I live. I tested them by letting them perform only tranny oil and motor oil changes. The truck has been in more than good condition from the time I purchased it, and never had any real problems outside of the radiator starting to leak just a little, and the steering gear box. Well, in April of 2010, I trusted those mechanics to perform a complete motor tune-up, a tranny flush, and a power-steering flush, and to check out the entire under carriage to see if there may be any up and coming repairs needed. I thought that it was odd that they had my truck for 8-hours in the bay before they called me to tell me it was ready. The next day, the check engine light came on and when I took it back to them a couple days later, they told me that the code read transmission slippage. I found this to be odd, because the transmission was not slipping at all, it shifted a little harder than normal, and that was in April of this year, and it has not gotten worse at all. The mechanics kept pressing me about getting it rebuilt and that they would do it for $4500, and I kept putting it off, because it felt more like a vacuum leak or something. The mechanics begin begging me to let them do the work and they ended up coming down on the price to $3,800. I thought that it was strange that they kept begging me to get it done. The best quote was $3,200, and that is a dealership crate tranny, plus installed. The new mechanics that I took it too, as well as myself, think that the other mechanics that did the work tweaked something to cause this code to read tranny slippage, as it has not gotten any worse, however, a week after that, the power steering started making a noise, then it started to run a little crappy (idling bad). I took it to my new mechanics, and took all the paperwork from the mechanics that had been working on my truck, and he seen that they did not change out the spark-plug wires when they put the new spark plugs in, they installed new wires, then the truck ran like a champ, and still run like a champ. Nothing else is wrong with the truck, it runs like a brand new truck, except a little bit of whining noise from the power steering. This is everything I can think of. Oh, then everyone in town started telling me their horror stories about the mechanic that I originally took my truck to... I should have asked around before I just selected one... Well now I know. (smile) THANK YOU
