Vehicle Detail

1965 MUSTNAG CONVERTIBLE….WHITE TOP…….BLACK INTERIOR 6 CYCLINDER ENTINE…..AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION PLEASE HEAR THIS: The pictures make this car look a lot better than it really is. Read my description closely and I’ll tell you how it really is. I will not sugar coat the listing just to sell it for a higher price. You must be very careful when you buy from pictures, they can make a bad car look like a show car. I bought this car because it was a good deal and I could sell it cheap, I repaired the minimum I could just to get it so you could drive it for fun. If you want a perfect show car get your money bag out. This is not a high quality car, its just a fun driver for a cheap price, the paint is not perfect, the interior is not perfect and everything does not work, but you can drive it as is and have fun for a cheap price. VIN 5F08T754736 MILEAGE: 101136 : HISTORY: I bought this car near Chattanooga, Tennessee. It had been setting for several months and would not start. It had a bad wire from the switch to the ignition coil, I repaired it. It also had rust in the fuel system, I put a new gas tank, fuel pump and cleaned the lines and carburetor. TITLE: Clear Tennessee title in hand. IS THERE ANY RUST PROBLEMS? Yes and No! No rust problems that will make the car unsafe or keep you from driving it. There has been rust repair under the car and I can see rusty sheet metal, I can see where the floors have been replaced. Call me and I’ll explain. This is a cheap car and this is what you get when you pay a cheap price. I’m just telling you up front so you are not shocked when you put the car on a lift for the first time. IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE? None that I can find. WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR? I bough this car to resell because it was cheap and I can sell it cheap. I’m a classic car restorer, but when I find a car I like, can sell for a fair market price and make a few bucks, I buy it fix a few things and resell. PAINT and top: Not real good, its faded and has several chips and scratches, but its will satisfy a lot of people that don’t want to pay a high dollar for a fun car to cruse around in. Top is Ok, it has no holes and goes up and down pretty good, it is manual and I do have a boot/cover for it. CHROME: Just OK, it has some dulling and a few scruffs and pits. INTEROR: About like the paint, the good is the dash pad and the carpet. The bad is the right front seat has a loose seam on the upper corner and the back seat has a split near the center and at the beading. The door panels are wavy. UNSERSIDE: Some rust repair and some rusty sheet metal. GLASS: Windshield looks new, side windows are clear with no cracks and roll up and down. ENGINE: The engine is a inline 6 cylinder that sounds good, it is very cold natured (you have to let it warm up and pump it to start). EXHAUST SYSTEM: Good used condition. TRANSMISSION: It’s a C4 automatic that shifts good, this is a 3 speed automatic. REAR-END: No growls or whines. BRAKES: Good, but they are drums all around and if it sets for a long time you had better beware, they may pull the first time you hit them, this is true on any drum brake car. STEERING: Drives good! WHEELS AND TIRES: Radial tires look like new and the wire hubcaps are good. LIGHTS: Headlights work, tail lights work, turn signals work, the interior light is not working. The inside turn indicators doe not work. RADIO: The original Am works. GUAGES: The fuel gauge is not working, I put a new sending unit in the tank when I replaced it. Its probably the constant voltage regulator in the dash. HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE? OK TRADES: Please no trades, they never work out and are just to hard! The rest of the information is boring unless you are really interested in buying the car, its just buying details like shipping, paperwork, who I am, where the car is located and how to pay and contact information. If you have to ask your wife, borrow the money, sell your car or want to trade: Please don’t waste our time, I work hard and don’t have time to waste! I will be very happy to answer any question about the car if you have real interest. CONTACT INFO: my cell is 423-506-8987, I do not answer when driving, while meeting with people, after about 8:00 PM Eastern Time or on Sunday morning or Sunday nights. Please leave a voice mail and I’ll get back. I do check my emails several times a day. cell 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com THE GAME: I don’t play the game like most sellers! I tell you who I am, how to contact me, where the vehicle is located, lots of details and welcome you to come and look at the vehicle. I don’t put my vehicles up for auction because it a big joke, most sellers just have their buddy’s bid the auction up to what they want. Read the who your buying from section, I’m 64 years old, I have been a auto mechanics instructor, was an instructor in the US Army aviation school for Chinook helicopters and sold a good business to retire and play with classic cars. PAPERWORK: I know what to do! We are just a father/son 2 man operation, but we are a Tennessee licensed/bonded car dealer and have sold cars all over the US and exported many. THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION, THIS IS A FIXED PRICE LISTING: I reserve the right to stop the listing at any time and sale the car “come look”. I RESERVE TH RIGHT TO STOP THE LISTING AT ANY TIME. THE CAR IS FOR SALE ON THE LOCAL MARKET. WHERE THE CAR IS LOCATED: The car is here at my home in Athens, Tennessee. Athens is in east Tennessee, we are 50 miles south of Knoxville. Look at a Road Atlas and follow interstate 75 south from Knoxville. I live one mile and one turn from the interstate exit. My zip code is 37303. The closest large airport is Knoxville. Athens does have a good small airport, but has no commercial flights. I WILL ONLY PICK YOU UP AT THE AIR PORT IF THE CAR IS PAID FOR IN FULL, I HAVE MADE TOO MANY WILD GOOSE CHASES! RENTAL CARS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE AIRPORT FOR A VERY REASONABLE RATE! WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM: My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of Athens, Tennessee “Athens is called the friendly city”. We are located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee. I am 64 years old and work with my son Keith who is now 38. I am now retired and living my dream restoring, selling and improving classic cars. For 12 years I was an auto mechanics instructor at Tennessee Technology Center here in Athens. I am also a veteran of the US Army; I served as a Chinook helicopter mechanic, crew chief and instructor in the late 60s, I did spend a year in Vietnam. I’m Southern Baptist faith and proud to be an American. I’ve been married to the same good woman for almost 41 years. LIFE IS GOOD IN THE GREEN HILLS OF EAST TENNESSEE! TRANSPORT: EBAY MOTORS gives 3 instant transport quotes if you click on the link on my listing. US TRANSPORT: “No problem”, I can recommend a very large company, McNutt Auto Transport Service 800-755-2324. “open carrier only” US OR EXPORT “the best”: Classic Car Transport, LLC: This is a very good company that will handle any type of transport in the US or overseas with the white glove treatment. Call Steve at 913-749-0948 Email stevens@classiccartransport.com MY AREA CODE FOR TRANSPORT: The area code for Athens, Tennessee is 37303. I live 1 mile off a major interstate (I-75)and 35 miles south of interstate 40, so transport is usually very fast. PAYMENT: I require a $500 deposit for a Buy Now or to hold the car. Option 1: Pay the old school way face to face. Option 2: Pay by check, I will wait till the check clears, I have had a fake bank certified check. Option 3: The safest is to let our banks handle it, my bank is a member of the US Federal Reserve, this is called wire transfer. Option 4: Pay Pal is good, but it cost a lot. It cost me around 3%, I will take it, but you will have to add 3% to the price. WILL I HOLD THE CAR UNTIL YOU GET HERE TO LOOK OR HAVE IT INSPECTED? Not without a $250 non-refundable deposit! I have held too many cars that people promise me they are going to buy and they never show up, their wife won’t let them buy it, they can’t get a loan or they just back out. Before you drive or fly a long distance you need to make sure the car is not sold. “The way I look at it is until you pay a deposit your just looking and dreaming”. INSPECTIONS: Please come look and be happy. All inspections are required to be done before the end of the listing. I listed this car as I see it as a 64 year old car restorer, please come and judge it for your self. I judge the car to my standards, this may not be yours. Paid inspectors are unpredictable, you might get a good one, but most of them do not impress me at all, most really don’t know what to look at, they make a good car sound bad on the report. They have to be very critical to cover their back sides and all their concerned about is getting paid. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking, but I think you should come look yourself. I don’t like paid inspectors, I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear, don’t hit the buy now button and then inspect, come inspect first! TRADES: Please no trades! BOTTOM LINE: My firm price is $6,999 and I will be asking more at the big spring car shows. I will take $100 off if you call me direct and I don’t have to pay ebay fees. The game is not rocket science, ask a price and come down. It’s not fun to bargain over the cell phone all day long with people that live 2000 miles away and are not going to buy anyway. My firm price is the Buy Now price. I have sold every car I have ever tried to, so I’m not motivated to be bargained down. PLEASE!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! Come look at this vehicle. Please don’t hit the Buy Now button unless your ready to really buy it! Do your research, call me with questions, read my feed backs, I am ebay verified; this means they say I’m a real person in a real place. I WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO SELL YOU THE VEHICLE WITH-OUT AN INSPECTION; YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE A LOT OF NERVE AND PLEASE DON’T BE A CRY BABY. Read the ME section on the upper right hand part of the listing marked seller info. Thank You, Ron Watson cell: 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com IS THERE A WARRANTY? No!
