Vehicle Detail

Great running car that got stuck in the middle of it's restoration. We got the car to make it into a vegetable oil converted car while the fuel prices were $4+ a gallon. Picked up a donor car for a new interior and spare parts (i.e. Air conditioner assembly, hydraulic suspension assembly, sunroof assembly, etc.) By the time we had gotten all the parts together, and taken the Red Wagon apart the fuel prices dropped and it went on our back burner. Plus, we also picked up a multi-fuel deuce and a half... -:) We need the room in our containers, so we are selling the car and all the spare parts in one lot. If you're looking for a solid reliable car, you'd be hard pressed to do better than a Mercedes Diesel. Mechanically the car is solid. The engine vacuum pump wasn't behaving properly, so we have a new replacement pump for it, brand new, in box. It wasn't affecting the driving of the car, but was something we came across while prepping the car to be rebuilt. The car drives great, we even took a video driving the car around a couple days ago to make sure that everything was up to snuff. (Car Video) I haven't taken a complete inventory of the parts. I know that we stripped the donor car of the entire interior, as well as it's suspension. Both interiors were the same color, tan leather. This way you can choose whether you want the 3rd row rear seat, or more storage space in the wagon area. If you choose to assemble the car, the sale of the extra parts would probably get you back the purchase price. Partial parts list: 2 sets of interior panels (door panels, seat belt panels, kick panels, etc.) 2 sets of interior carpets 2 sets of seat belts 1 flat trunk floor with storage 1 3rd row seat 1 wood trimmed dashboard minus wood trimmed passenger airbag cover. 1 all black dashboard 1 extra drivers side airbag (fits in steering wheel) 1 set door speakers 1 extra air conditioning evaporator core/vent/control unit (extra vacuum bellows units, etc) 1 extra air conditioning controls 1 extra dashboard gauge panel with gas engine inserts 1 extra set power front seats 2 sets rear seats 1 extra interior vacuum pump 1 complete set of complete front doors, rear doors, and rear hatch doors from the '94 mercedes, should interchange with 87 1 extra sunroof assembly (moonroof) 1 extra engine vacuum pump (new) 1 extra set rear hydraulic shocks + associated assemblies. And much more that I can't recall right now. You could see this as a way of getting all the last parts you'd ever need for your own Mercedes for far less than the price of all the parts. Or it'd be a great way to get started restoring German Automobiles. If you are looking for a donor car for some very expensive parts, this could be it. Think about it... You need a driver's window glass for your car... or a replacement engine... or transmission... or dash... what have you... the opening bid is the price of a good used mercedes diesel engine ... ALONE... but here you get a tranny and the rest of the car (actually most of 2 cars) that is attached. Can you imagine your own parts bin should EOD scenario play out? Let's hope not, but if it does happen, you would be ready. OK, Now for the fine print... If you come out and inspect prior to bidding and purchasing you get back 2% of your bid price. Why you ask? Well, I care about my feedback and this way we are both sure that this is what you want and you know what you are getting.
