Vehicle Detail
Note: The photo for this listing is a stock '05 Jeep Liberty CRD photo and not the actual vehicle for sale. The vehicle for sale is the same color but also has alloy wheels. Bidding starts at $1.00 and there is no reserve!! Vehicle is being sold "as is." I purchased this vehicle in January of 2005 and have been the sole owner. It has approximately 150,000 miles on it however the odometer is at around 145,000 miles due to an issue with the speed sensor (which has been fixed). This car has some serious mechanical issues but would be great for a CRD enthusiast either looking for parts or willing to "role up their sleeves!" These are the following known issues with the vehicle: Internal coolant leak (cracked head gasket or damaged head most likely) Does not maintain oil pressure and this has resulted in what is most likely serious engine damage. Heater core is not functioning Vehicle can be driven but obviously it is not recommended given the mechanical issues. It has no acceleration, is blowing smoke, and metal grinding can be detected. On the positive side, the vehicle comes with 4 relatively new Firestone Tires (about 2-3 months old) and alloy wheels. It also comes with a Kenwood AM/FM/Sirius/CD/MP3/iPod stereo system that is about 1.5 years old. Also - this vehicle is equipped with a Golden Fuel Systems SVO Conversion that allows it to be operated on SVO (straight vegetable oil) or Diesel fuel. It has only been operated on Diesel for about the last 3 years but the conversion kit could be used on another CRD or, if the engine is repaired, could be used immediately if desired. Successful Bidder must arrange to have jeep picked-up within 7 days of auction close. Any shipping / delivery costs are the sole responsibility of the buyer. On Dec-29-10 at 14:33:17 PST, seller added the following information: Update: Actual vehicle pictures have been added. Images shown except for the first image are now of the actual Jeep CRD for sale. The first image was a stock photo for use until I had a chance to get some real shots. Also: Please read answers to the questions below....The dealer I took the car to has suggested that a new Engine and Turbo will be necessary to make it useable / repair it.
