Unfortunately I have to sell my 79 Plymouth Trailduster 4x4. I just had a little girl a few weeks ago. I always wanted one of these and just got it only a month ago and thought I could add it to my collection of mopars but things have gotten really tight. If you are familier with these trucks you know how rare they are and how hard they are to find especially in this condition. This truck was basically the same as the early ramcharger’s of these years. But are very rare.These trucks outperformed the Blazer and bronco from the same era and are built much more rugged. They are known for being unstoppable in mud and snow and built to last forever. I have had many old dodge trucks and they are amazing! These trucks are like a tank! This truck came from the factory with a roll bar in the back, and a removable full convertible hardtop. This truck also has the even rarer quad headlight grill. Very few Trailduster's came with quad headlights in 1979. The Trailduster runs great! It has the numbers matching stock 318 V8 wich was recently completely professionally rebuilt. The transmission shifts great and the 4x4 works perfect. I was told they were both rebuilt as well along with the differentials by the last owner. I do have extra gears for it so they probably were. The truck’s body is almost completely rust free, and the frame is perfect since it was originally from Kentucky and when brought up here to NY it was only used as a Summer truck with the top off and to go to car shows. The interior is new custom upholstered red and black marine grade vinyl front and rear. The floor was sprayed with rhino lining. The truck has a dual exhaust system and souds great. The truck needs some very minor finishing and a few other minor things to be perfect including,, The front driveshaft is out since it was never used off road or in the winter. (I have a new universal for it), The door catch needs to be fixed on the drivers side, You need to get 2 door locks, there is some minor paint blistering on the lower part of body here and their. You can see it in the pictures. The tires have excellent tread but do have some slight dry rot craks in between the treads. Probably nothing to worry about but I'm trying to point out everything. There is a dent on the hardtop in the front right corner but looks like it should be a very easy fix. The paint is a decent paint job but not perfect. It was done about 7 years ago I was told.The truck does look real nice though. In the pictures the front interior door panels are off only because It had new speakers put in. The truck has a very nice stereo/ cd player. I am also including a ton of parts for this truck, and even a factory service manual and haynes manual. There is extra window glass, inner wheel well, rubbermaid tubs of miscelaneous parts, wheather stripping, differential gears and much more. Please don’t call if you are just dreaming. If you are having it shipped You can overnight me a money order or bank check and I will mail you the title and Bill of sale when it clears.
