Vehicle Detail

I have considered the pricing of other listings as some have pointed out to me so I have lowered the starting bid however, unlike some of the other listings, I am the owner and have been for several years and even though as I have pointed out the seals that need replacing, this car is not in any major need of them any time soon. The leaks are minor ones but I do not like to see any drops on my garage floor at my home. So I am now asking just a few hundred more than what I spent on the front end bushings this year.I will not be listing this car again so some of you who seem very interested by your questions, I suggest you call me to arrange to inspect and drive the car prior to the end of the auction. 803-834-7990I have been asked what the white sticker is that I show in one of the photos from CA DMV. When CA led the Country in the mandatory installation of catalytic converters, all cars registered in the State that did not have them had to get them installed to pass inspection and this sticker showed that the car was in compliance. Remember this car not made for the US and Europe did not have such laws. I welcome anyone to come to drive the car and see for yourself how well the car drives. I have enjoyed this car for several years and now I am selling it as we have two and my Wife can only drive one. I listed this car last week to sell or part it out but since then, I find out that unlike the Jaguar XJS and Mercedes 200 series parts I sell, the parts for this car is not in as high demand. Mostly because many of the parts are still available. So here is another opportunity to buy a Euro car that was well maintained and except the radio, is all-original. The VIN is European for the reason it is not recognized by eBay. These cars were known as gray market, which were more advanced and more powerful than the U.S. cars. The VIN is: WDB1260441A148264 The car runs great and I still drive it from time to time and everything works accept the air condition as the compressor failed in August and I have adjusted the price more than what is needed to replace it. And if the buyer will pay for the compressor, I will replace it and have the air working perfect as it was before the clutch froze up while I was driving and I had to cut the belt to keep it from burning. I will take photos of some service records and if you give me your email address or a fax number I will send them. What I tell you of the car is up front as I know this car in and out and I never cut corners, this you will find out when you see and drive the car. It is 20 min from Columbia airport and 1 1/2 hour from Charlotte, NC airport I will drive the car to either to meet you for inspection. The tires are Michelin and cost close to $200 each last year and only have about 3000 mi on them. The leather is faded from age and the stitches have come loose on the side bolster of the drivers seat and the headliner is also coming loose. All switches and all parts work perfectly. The clear coat is starting to peal on the driver side roof. I had this car serviced at Mercedes of Greenwich in CT after I bought it then drove it to SC and have gone back to CT two or three times with it. It was serviced twice at Baker Motors Mercedes in Charleston in the last four years and I spent $1400 earlier this year replacing front-end bushings. The car needs the rear main engine seal, the power steering pump seal and the transmission seal replaced. I was planning to spend $5000 for a paint job at Scott Jaguar in Charlotte and buy all new leather but I am expanding my business so by selling the car, I will have the extra funds I need to create a car club where members can store and service their classic cars in a private 63000 sf building. I would drive this car anywhere and I have all service records since I bought it and this has always been a garaged car and spent most of its life in CA. The body is super clean no rust anywhere.
