FOR SALE: 1982 Volkswagen Rabbit 4 door Hatchback. Runs great and runs on Diesel, starts on the first crank. Very economical gets between 42 and 45 miles per gallon.. I have owned the car since 1991, she has been to Crete Greece 3 times, Nebraska once and Texas once. I can say she has been around the world. I have retired from the Navy and do not require her services anymore. My VW has been an excellent transportation to and from work and for sure she will catch your eye. I have all maintenance records, change the oil every 3000 to 3500 miles. I just put in a new rebuilt fuel injection pump about a year ago, new tires, shocks, struts, alternator, glow plugs, and clutch. I just had the lifters adjusted about a year ago as well. She does use a little bit of oil, I am sure you would to if you had that many miles on you. Once she warms up no oil usage. There is a sun roof, I put in a new cable for it and couldn't get it to work, I think some adjusting needs to be done. This is a 5 speed and she runs great at 75 to 85 miles/hour.
