Vehicle Detail

If you’re the type that hates reading like I do, just check out the video just to see if you’re interested. Thanks for checking out my Z! This is where I got the original motor rebuilt at: Costa Mesa Research & Development Machine Shop: http://www.youtube.com/user/fiatnutz This is it! My 240z; hope you like it! I tend to chatter a little too much in the video so feel free to use the mute button. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUcffPhJE601(I have recently found out my video does not work so I am working to put up a new one!!) Hey ebay people! Before I start, I wanted to let you guys know that I tried to be as honest as possible to list all the things that have been done to the car or what it came with. I hope you all can understand that most all Z’s have had multiple owners and things switched and modified, but I tried to keep this one as stock as possible with minor performance upgrades. I thank you for your time and patience Z fans; you guys are all these Z’s have left for! This particular 240z is a California car. It has spent its whole life somewhere in Los Angeles County and for about a year and a half in Orange County (since I’ve had it). The body is solid and straight. I’ve bought a lot of new parts for this car (more than 10k including cost of car) since I first bought it so make sure to see what I’ve got! I have most all paperwork for the car, and plates are good until March 2011. If any questions, please feel free to ask them. I encourage it! Thanks for looking, and I hope you may consider my ol’ Z. Or at least I hope you can find the right Z for you! Make sure to see the video to get a good look at the car. Thanks again for looking! Body/Exterior I know there are many buyers that are looking for a rust-free 240z. For the most part, the car has light amount of surface rust on the passenger floor board and some rust on the corner below where the driver’s door is. I have maintained the paint very well since I first bought the car by waxing and occasionally polishing the paint to get the swirls out. The paint is not perfect. There are some chips and scratches, and I have tried maintaining the paint as well as I could ever since it was first purchased. The passenger headlight bucket was previously dented in but no worries because I went to the junkyard and picked up another headlight bucket. It just needs some paint. I think that’s about as specific I can get with the body, if you’re still not satisfied feel free to look at the video one more time. All new items including: Door handles - $99 Z emblems - $60 Re-chromed front and rear bumpers - $1000+ Hatch “Datsun” and “240z” emblems - $50 and $20 Dust caps - $15 New Falcon tires - $650 w/ warranty Interior When I first bought the car the heater core, radio, and center console were all functional, but I mistakenly removed the center console and tossed it because I found out that my passenger floor board had rust. (I kind of regret doing that now, but it was cracked and junk anyways.) I removed all the rust with power tools and coated it with naval gel and primered it with rust preventative paint. The passenger floor board is ready for paint and needs to be reupholstered with carpet. The car came with aftermarket momo steering wheel , momo clutch, and momo brake pedals. Other than the passenger floor board, center console, and replacing the heater core the car is complete with all panels and ALL DASH BOARD GAUGES ARE FUNCTIONAL!!! (Yes, even the clock works!) New items include: Door panels - $700: OEM Window crank - $40 for both with washers: OEM Arm rests - $75 for both: remanufactured Window rollers - $60 for both: OEM Shift knob - $70: OEM Inner shift boot - $25: OEM Rear taillight seals - $80: OEM What needs work: No center console - $100 Dash is cracked Passenger floor panel – needs carpet Seats are getting old Engine and specifications The motor has been rebuilt very recently with less than 900 miles on it. Why am I selling a perfectly good running car that I just rebuilt you say? I was 19 years old and I bought the car of my dreams, and invested too much money too soon and now I want to do the things that I want to become, but have no money to do it. It’s really sad, but hey we learn from our mistakes, right? Here’s all the things that went into the car: New parts that I got for the rebuild: Oversized pistons with rings: +.020: $247 Rod and crank bearings: $89 Head gaskets and other gasket set (oil pan, valve cover, and etc.): $52 Freeze plug kit: $12 Water pump: $32 Timing kit: $42 Stage 3 Camshaft: 290 degree duration: from local cam grinder: Ruben Racing Cam’s : $110 Lash pads: .170: $60 Distributor and cap: $80 Spark plugs with wires: $15 Rebuilt dual downdraft webers 32/36 DGV’s with K&N filters: for rebuild kit $50 for both, not including labor Hoses for coolant: $35 Fuel filter Original battery tray and frame: $30 Slave cylinder: $15 4-speed gearbox: $100 Engine Set-up: Dual webers 32/36 DGV’s Headers Performance radiator: re-roded for any leaks 2 fans for extra cooling capability: clutch fan and electric fan in front Crane Cam Fireball Performance Coil PS20 Crane Cam Fireball Ignition XR700 4-speed original transmission: refurbished gearbox put in recently Shipping I do not mind shipping anywhere unless buyer schedules all the towing and shipping costs. I will just guarantee that the car gets on the tow truck with no damage. This is a great car for a restoration project! It just needs some TLC in some rusted areas on the car and some new interior to be complete! Got any further questions? Feel free to email me at dchooo@yahoo.com. (Donald) Happy Holidays!!!
