Vehicle Detail

I have a 1940 ford pickup that has been frame off restored. Still lacks just a little bit from being done. But I have over 10,000 in parts in it and about 8 months worth of labor between 3 people working every day about 10 and 12 hours a day. It has a completely rebuilt 350 in it. We had it bored .030 over so it is now a 355. 480 lift elgin cam, it sounds great, flat top pistons, 1.94 heads, polished aluminum intake, Edelbrock 1406 650 cfm Carb. It is a running driving truck. It has a turbo 350 transmission. as far as what it lacks from being done is a little bit of body work. A wiring is there and ran just needs hooked up. And paint of course. The biggest thing that it needs is the wiring needs to be finished. The taillights and brake lights and headlights need to be wired up, and the gauge lights need to be wired up, we havent got the wiper arm towers or arms yet so it does not have wipers but it does have a good wiper motor and all of the arms that go under the dash all that is needed is everything outside of the truck, and from bill t's antique ford parts in Tulsa he quoted me 125.00 for the wiper towers. that is all it needs to be a completely done deal. We have new wood for the bed, it has all new interior however it is not all installed yet. It has the original bench seat in it which was recovered. We have been looking for some nice bucket seats for it, the bench seat is just uncomfortable lol, but it does look good. The the grill and headlight bezels are brand new Bob Drake reproductions, there is about $1,000.00 just between those items. Also it needs some new pipes ran from the mufflers back, we just put what we had on there for the moment to get it on the road. The truck runs and drives great, it is tagged and titled as a 1940 ford pickup. We do have the tailgate and new hinges for it we just havent put it on yet. And we do have the headlights and taillights rigged at the moment to where you can drive it, but not how they should be. It has a B&M shifter & a console, Grant steering wheel. It has Power brakes, disk brake conversion on the front and manual steering. We changed the wheel bolt pattern to 5 on 4.75 which is a small chevy bolt pattern so it is easy to find wheels for it now, the old 5 on 5.5 it had originally was very hard to find wheels for. It has a 3.72 rear end (not original). It has an aluminum radiator, electric fan, electric fuel pump, and the when the windshield was installed we had the guy V-butt the glass to take out the metal strip, and it looks really killer. It has gray glass on the backs and sides for a cool tinted look. The front suspension came from a 46-48 model pickup and it has all new tie rods bushings all new front end parts, and we took all the leaf springs off took them apart cleaned the rust off painted them and greased them up between each leaf, and took out two leafs all the way around for a softer ride. New leaf spring shackles. All new shocks. New king pins. Every part of the suspension and steering is new, or refurbished if it was usable. New 1700 to 2200 torque converter. ALL METAL IS ORIGINAL HENRY FORD METAL THAT IT CAME WITH WHEN IT WAS NEW. And for something that is 70 years old that is rare. Even the driver side fender is orignal sheet metal, we just popped it out where it was dipped in for the spare tire and smoothed it out. All of the hard work is done! The majority of the body work left to do is all on the inside of the bed. The rectangle hole in the pictures is in the bed floor and is where we moved the gas filler neck to. We had plans of putting a hinges on one of the planks of wood and lift it up to put gas in it. This is an extremely easy winter project to finish up. And would easily be a beautiful cruiser before spring. Don't miss out on one of the most sought after pickups in the world and finish it to your liking. Please give me a call at 918-978-0155 or 918-859-6767 to ask any and all questions before you bid. A $500.00 deposit due within 48 hours of the end of the auction, unless prior arrangements are made.
