1967 Volkswagen Type 1 " The Rusty Surfer" An AWESOME car that gets LOTS of attention wherever you go. People cant help but look, Kids love to check it out and the ladies always ask for a ride......... It appeals to everyone not just VW guys, plus the car is a blast to drive. I took it to CVS this morning, came out and there were 8 people checking it out. Two of them were driving by and pulled a U-turn to see it. The car has a custom airbrushed paint job to make it look rusted. Strong Low Miles Single Port 1600 - I've put on less than 1500 miles on the car in the last 24 months No Transmission Issues New 135s on the front 195/60's on the back Rear Pop Out Windows Solid Pan New Hard Lines Up Front and Brakes No Accidents I have a 67 radio that is included in the auction Title In Hand The car has won many local awards and was even shown in Hot VWs June 2010 issue where this was said "Another entry that got our attention apperared to be a rusted-out Yukon Yellow 67 Sedan, But up close the owner had painted rust decay and did an outstanding job of making his sedan look like it was ready for the junk yard - but it was certainlhy not!" I'm minutes away from DFW Airport and Love Field. If you need to fly in I can pick you up and take you back There is one small dent on the passenger side fender, and rust hole in the spare tire well. (this has been treated with POR15) I will also throw in a new front carpet kit, the carpet is not bad but could use a changing 6 months or so down the road. Note: Please Remember the theme of the car. It's not a car for the purist. If you can personally view the car I would suggest it, if you cant, there are many local VW clubs that would do it for free. Just google Dallas Fort Worth Volkswagen Clubs or Air Cooler Clubs, and send them an email. Just like you, I don't want any surprises.
