Vehicle Detail
1989 Buick Reatta – Garage Kept- Immaculate Condition, 28,544 Original Milleage! One of only 7,009 produced! Here is a near perfect Buick Reatta two-seater personal sports/luxury car. This 1989 Reatta, (one of only 7,009 made) has only 28,544 original miles. This car was a gift to me from my parents who were the original owners of this car. This car was my mother’s pride and joy. It has always been pampered and garage kept with a cover over the car. It has NEVER seen snow! The spare tire has never been removed and used. This car has the original glossy factory paint and original hand painted pin stripping! Some models came equipped with a sunroof but this model does NOT have one. This car has new brakes, new tires, new battery, keyless entry, two year old alarm system and it comes with a car cover. I have all of the service records from when it was purchased in 1989 until the present date. When new, this car sold for approx. $30,000. The Reatta is a limited production car and was positioned as a luxury two-place car with a combination of sporty and aerodynamic styling, nimble handling and a comfortable and quiet "Buick ride". The 3800 V-6 with the four-speed automatic transmission was the only power train offered. The touch-screen computer command center and sound system is superb and was technologically way ahead of its time when built in 1989. The Reatta was the only two-seat passenger car that Buick ever produced. The $30,000 price tag was designed to attract drivers who wanted a sporty car such as the Corvette, but who preferred more luxury, room and comfort. It was not a sports car, but a luxury coupe built in limited volume on a 98.5" wheelbase. All Reatta’s were built in a special assembly plant in Lansing, Michigan called the "Reatta Craft Center" from 1988 - 1991. They were marketed as a "Hand Crafted Car." Instead of the usual moving assembly line, GM organized its work force into small teams. Workers performed dozens of tasks on the cars at various locations known as "Craft Stations," within the plant. The cars were carried between locations by computer-guided carts. For power, the Reatta has a 3.8 Litre V6-165 horsepower sequential fuel injection engine and a four speed automatic transmission with front wheel drive. Every power and luxury option Buick had to offer was standard equipment. Some models came equipped with a sunroof but this model does NOT have one. THIS CAR IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH VERY LOW MILES AND IT IS TRULY A COLLECTS CAR! Have any questions; contact Steve at 954.563.4379 or by email: Steve@homsales.com
