Hello, I have a 2005 Mercury Sable LS (Luxury Sedan) up for sale. I am the second owner of this car and my Grandfather was the first. It is fully loaded with every option except heated seats. It has: -Keyless entry and trunk release (very nice when your hands are full, the trunk is spring loaded so it pops right up when you push the button!)-Alarm system-Moon roof-Power windows, locks, and mirrors-Great working cruise control-8 way power driver seat-Leather seats (great condition, I clean/condition them once every 1-2 weeks!) and leather steering wheel-Wood grain trim on steering wheel and dashboard-In dash display that tells you outside temp/compass, mpg, miles till empty, trip odometer, and even a timer-Tilt steering wheel-Fold down rear seats 60/40-Automatic climate control-Fog lights-Lighted vanity mirrors behind both driver's and passenger's sun visors-Child seat anchors for rear seats-Automatic dimmer for rear view mirror-Six disc CD changer (in center console)-Premium sound system (it really does sound good)-Traction control-80K mile tires (50% tread left)-Premium alloy wheels-1 good spare with jack in the trunk-Non Smoker Exterior:This Sable is light blue in color and has a few blemishes, a scratch near the driver's head light and a little bit of rust on the bottom of the drivers door, and behind the drivers side passenger door. Even with just a quick wash the paint beads up the water. One picture shows that part of the rear bumper is missing. I backed into a concrete fountain last winter and have not fixed it. The quarter panel just above the bumper is unscathed. A new bumper will cost $400 and paint and labor came to $300-500 on the three quotes that I received. Bumpers at the salvage yard run about $75, but the few that I looked at were in poor condition. This flaw does not affect the performance of the car. There is also a small area under the driver's window where you can tell I tried to rub out a blemish. Interior:There is lots of trunk space, comfortable front and back seats (hardly used), clean floor mats (put in rubber ones to protect the originals). I take very good care of the interior by keeping it washed, vacuumed, and by conditioning the seats. It is a joy to drive because it is so nice on the inside. ...and there is a lip stick mark on the head liner from when my mother drove it once. Engine:120,xxx miles (Highway miles from my Grandfather and I)Duratec V6, 24valve DOHC, 200hp.The engine runs great and it gets going on the highway when you need it to. Merging and passing is not a problem. It gets 30mpg going 55-60mph and a little less the faster you go. In the city it gets 20-22mpg. Oil changed every 3000 miles. I keep a mileage log of every time I fill up and when I get the oil changed. It runs strong and smooth and does not leak any fluids.Many miles ago when my Grandfather owned this car, a squirrel chewed one of the wires under the hood and it was fixed by a professional. Also, there has been professional work done on the drivers side front strut tower. Everything with this car works great and runs great! This car truly is in great condition. My previous cars have all been Japanese and I was weary to drive this car but my mechanic friend said that these Sables were reliable cars and that he has seen many Sables with over 200k miles. I would hope for the same on this one. I have driven it for three years and have been very satisfied.
