1978 Ford LTD Landau Coupe 40k Original Miles Remember the days when bigger always meant better when it came to the cars from the 70's. We all took it for granted back then, and we look at the streets of today lined with compact fuel efficient cars and wonder, how in the hell did we manouver these big sleds around town? I guess we didn't even think about it. We also didn't think about buying hemi chargers or 454 ss's either for under $5000 new. Should a could a would a. I truly believe that these war horses from the 70's are the forgotten era, but are gradually creeping in value. Will these cars be as valuable as the late 60's early 70's muscle cars? I don't know, but if history repeats itself, as it always does, these cars are becoming more valuable as the years go on. Now's the time to buy when the values are still reasonable. This 78 Ford LTD is a prime example of a dying breed. 1978 marked the last year of this full size model and in my opinion, probably the best. Please read below and call us or email us with concerns 856-809-9660. Past History: This Ltd was purchased new in Boyertown Pennsyvania and still has the orig tag bolted on the rear. Also still has the orig. Protecto Plate!The second owner purchased the car in 2009 to add it to his fine collection. He had put the car in his name but has never retaged the car. This car come with a clear title ready the correct mileage at only 40,000!!! The Exterior: Please notice the windows are slightly tinted. When I say this car appears ghostly when you see it driving down the road, it stands out among all the technology out today and everyone stares at her as she purrs down the road. The body is in excellent condition presents very well. Its very hard to tell if this is original paint, but if its not, it was professionally repainted years ago. The paint still has plenty of luster but shows some signs of wear and the chrome is absolutely brilliant. All the glass and signals are clear and haze and chip free. The vinyl top is in new condition. The body has some normal blemishes for being 32 years old, but shows outstanding and would stand proud at any car show. The tires are the expensive Vogue Tyres. This car is highly detailed and ready for show or go. Please note this car was purchased new in Pa and still has the orig. Tag on the car! Please look at the pictures and ask questions if you have them. The Interior: The interior of this car is absolutely MINT. This may sound crazy but it even smells new! There are no rips, no tears and no blemishes anywhere the eye can see. The fuel gauge and clock do not operate. The heat is nice and hot and the a/c has been converted to r134 and is ice cold. There is hardly any wear at all in this interior and you won't be dissappointed at all. Please study the pictures and ask questions if you got em. The Drivetrain: The drivetrain of this vehicle is flawless. Its the 400 Motor and 3 speed tranny. Both are tight and flawless. The car runs perfect. You can drive this car to the moon and back. The tires are new, the belts, hoses, suspension, brakes and all running components are all road worthy and in excellent condition. You will not be dissappointed with how this car runs and drives.
