You might confuse a Buick with an Oldsmobile or a Chevy with a Pontiac, but you will never confuse a Cadillac for any other make vehicle in the world. Cadillac's design was always timeless, and was the standard for luxury, class, style and stature. Growing up you've heard it a million times....when someone was explaining something so fine, so unique and so classy, they would always start off by saying,"This is the Cadillac of.......". There is no other automotive manufacturer in the world that could ever coin that phrase. And you can see why the second you look at this beauty. Everything about this car exudes Cadillac. The chime you hear when you open the door, the soft tone of the interior lights that accents in just the right places, and even the way the leather smells. The Exterior: If I could only put in words the depth of this paint, its truly amazing. Please take note of the reflections within the paint. Now, let me describe this paint. I would rate it a 9+ out 10. There is a few minor imperfections and touch ups that were made through out the years. Keep in mind, the miles are extremely low for the year, but the car is 30 years old, its impossible for anything to be perfect on this car, but its pretty close. The chrome is excellent, the body panels are straight. There is a little blemish spot about the size of a quarter on the vinyl roof. I would rate the appearance of the vehicle a strong 9+ for its age and low mileage. But please, feel free to email or contact us with any further questions. I would be happy to take more pictures, if you need them. I believe Cadillac used laquer paint in those days and there is NO "Laquer Cracks" at all. All glass and lights are like new. No chips, cracks or fading. The Interior: Now, this is where the word PERFECT will come into play. The interior is absolutely mint in every way. All the digits on the digital read outs are flawless and everything works as it should. Please look at the pictures and see for yourself. If you need more information on the interior please email or call us. The Drivetrain: This body style was for 1979 - 1985. In 1979, Cadillac used the 350 5.7 ltr motor. In 1980, they beefed it up to a 368 6.0 ltr V8. 1981, was the 4,6,8 version of the 368 engine option. In 1982, the 4100 4.1 Litre engine was the demise for the Cadillac powerplants which was a shame for this body style. Fortunately, this Eldo is equipt with the powerful 368 v8 with fuel injection. A very powerful yet quiet engine that is capable of reaching any speed with little effort. All belts and hoses, brakes and linings, shocks and suspension and tires are all road worthy and indicative of a 14,000 mile car. The only thing I would recommend at some point is the tires need to be balanced and rotated. There is a slight vibration at high speeds. Not bad, but noticeable. The tread looks new on the tires but I'm not sure when they were replaced. Feel confident in flying in and driving home, this car will make it anywhere.
