1990 Porsche Carrera 2 automatic with tiptronic transmission. This car has been garage keep since I have been the owner. The car will not start at this time! I purchased the car to be a weekend driver. I never drove this car during the winter months. I drove the car during the summer months and then did not attempt to start it again until spring time. I could not get the car to start this spring. I do not know why the car will not start. I thought the fuel may have gummed up from not being driven. I had a local mechanic look at the car and he said the motor would not turn over. I told him that I drove the car home and parked it in my garage for the winter months. He did not know why the motor would not turn over and suggested pulling the motor to check for the problem. I decided to sale the car as is because my wife and I are expecting our first child in March and the car is not a practical car for us at this time. I would rather sale the car at a lower price and let a new buyer fix it rather than invest more money into a car I do not need at this time. The car is beautiful and I hate to get rid of it. The car does have some flaws, but not many considering its over 20 years old. The front windshield is cracked, the back window is hazed over, rear brake lens is discolored, heat and air is not working, dash has a crack, and the driver’s seat has a small tear in the stitching. The car has many upgrades including a Ram Air intake with a K & N air filter, performance chip, five spoke chrome Antera wheels with Toyo tires, after market 3rd brake light, front bumper skirt, after market side sport mirrors, carbon fiber dash kit, has new carpet in great shape. I also have the original 3rd brake light, side mirrors, and exhaust for the car. I had an Alpine CDE-102 CD/MP3/USB/IPod connect deck installed. The original door speakers and tweeters were replaced with Alpine SPC-600C 240 watt peak speakers. The stereo in the car does sound excellent. New battery was put in last summer. The car has been professionally maintained and all service receipts have been kept. I have all the receipts for the maintenance on the car since the original purchase in 1990. The car's motor was completely rebuilt by Dave White Racing in Tampa, Florida. The car had 134,300 miles when the engine was completely rebuilt. I have paper work showing the rebuild. This car would be a great car for someone who may not want to spend a large amount of money on a weekend driver and with a little TLC this car would be top notch. I loved to drive this car, it will flat move and handle like no other car. I always drove it in the summer with the top down so the air did not matter nor did the discolored rear window. The reserve on this car is set very low since it will not start. This would be a great car for someone that has some knowledge with the 911’s. Car has a clean and clear CARFAX title.
