Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE This NO RESERVE AUCTION (HIGHEST BIDDER WINS!) is for a 1967 MGB GT that has been sitting since 1980. I brought it home, cleaned it up, put a battery in it (not included), sanded the points and used some starting fluid and gas and she started right up. No smoke, no noises. It sounded really good. I only had it running for 2-3 minutes. It does not drive. You’ll need to look at the brakes and clutch cylinder, clean out the tank, etc., before you put it on the road. The motor looks like it was rebuilt at one time because of the red paint. I’m not sure though. I believe it is the original motor. Odometer reads 18,361 probably 118,361 or more. Motor # 18V836Z-L4003 “18” is cast in the cylinder head. The body is straight with small dings and a very small amount of rust. No rust on the floors or in the spare tire area or in the battery areas. There is rust on the lower passenger fender (will need a patch panel). There is a very small amount of rust on each door in the corners on the outside panel only. The car was originally black on black. The wind shield needs to be replaced and the front grille has a dent. The doors, fenders, hood and hatch are original to the car. The inner panels under the hood are nice, not wrinkled up from a wreck, so I don’t believe that it has ever been in an accident. The hood prop is broken and will need to be welded near the hood area. Also, the generator bracket is broken. There are front bumper guards included with the car that are not mounted. The air cleaners are included, but I don’t have the bolts to put them on. All the seats are intact. The seat belts are included, but not mounted. Some of the interior pieces are usable in the condition they’re in, but most of the interior upholstery needs to be redone. The dash is in nice condition, not cut up. The last owner said everything worked and it was a running and driving car when it was parked in 1980. To sum it up, it’s a great little car to restore. It needs everything redone, i.e., paint, interior, chrome, etc., but it’s a nice original base to start from. It has a clean California title. It rolls easy and the tires hold air. The emergency brake works well. I am not very familiar with MGB’s, so if you need more information or if you need more pictures, please let me know and I will be happy to take them and email them to you. If you’d like a walk-around description over the phone or would like to come and look at the car, you can call me, Mike, at (760) 723-4686 or (760) 519-3478. I can deliver the car to the shippers in Long Beach for $250. Good luck and remember HIGHEST BIDDER wins the car - NO RESERVE!! THIS IS A TRUE NO RESERVE AUCTION. NO BUY IT NOW PRICE. I WILL NOT END THE AUCTION EARLY. HAPPY BIDDING AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS! THANKS. ** Check out the two Jaguars I also have up for auction this week with NO RESERVE!! ** This vehicle is being sold as is with no implied warranty. Payment is to be paid in full within 7 business days of the end of the auction and pickup within 14 days unless other arrangements are agreed upon.
