I am reluctantly selling my 2001 Chevrolet 3500 Crew Cab dually. Money is tight and it just has to go. I bought this truck brand new in 2002. This is a one owner truck…and it has been babied. Never plowed with and never towed heavy loads. Absolutely never had a fifth wheel. This truck has only 46,000 miles on it, which is almost unheard of for it’s year. It has a 502 cubic inch 8.1 liter V8 engine and an Allison 5 speed transmission. This gives you 360 HP and 460 foot pounds of torque. It has an eight foot bed. Crew cab. Push button 4WD. It is an extremely quiet ride with no exhaust or tire noise. I have never driven a truck with more power, smoother ride and quieter cabin. The day after I bought this truck I had the following installed: a front brush guard, rear taillight guards, remote starter, extended towing mirrors, running boards, carpeted bed liner (pristine condition 9 years later), and an auto roll-up tonneau cover (Looks as good today as day I bought it). Just a little info on tonneau cover. It is not a cheap auto parts store model. I payed $2000 for this and it has an integrated aluminum diamond plate toolbox. The cover rolls up into the toolbox and there is an interior light that is turned on by the tailgate so you can see inside the bed when the cover is unrolled. Like I said the carpet has been on since day one, so if it was removed the bed would be in perfect shape. It’s drivetrain is a big block V8 8/1 liter gas w/ enough torque to pull a house. You can get the same power as a diesel with cheaper fuel and less noise. Has a 5 speed Allison train with tow/haul mode. 4.10 ratio on front and rear differentials. 12,000 lb. tow rating on 2” hitch and 16,000 lb. tow rating if you wanted to install a 5th wheel. The heaviest thing I towed with this was a 7,000 lb boat three times and a 3,000 lb boat multiple times. Some other features: Rearview mirror with integrated compass and exterior temperature, remote start, keyless entry, power windows and doors, AC (ice cold), cruise, fog lights, center armrest with integrated compartment, (3) 12 volt accessory plugs, rear center arm rest, push button 4WD hi, 2WD, and 4WD lo. Front and rear 2” receiver hitches. Both hitches have also been professionally for a winch with an internal 400 amp breaker. It was just inspected in September where it received new tires and front brakes and rotors. Has a brand new spare tire also. Oil changes were done religiously using only Mobil One Synthetic. Most recent oil change was about 1000 miles ago. When I bought this in 02 I immediately put in Husky custom molded floor mats which cover about 90% of the carpet. They have done a great job at keeping the carpet nice and clean. The interior still almost has that new car smell. It is in pristine condition with NO signs of wear. The paint is still glossy on this truck. The one issue it does have is the dually fenders have cracks in them from the cold. And there is a tiny dent in the rear passenger door (thanks walmart shopping cart). In closing, you can see I have taken extra special care with this truck. I have described it as best as I can.
