Up for sale is a 1996 Mercedes-Benz E-300 Diesel sedan that we just took in trade. I'm no expert on these so please feel free to ask me any questions about the vehicle if I forget to put it in the listing. You are more than welcome to come and inspect the vehicle or have a third party inspect the vehicle prior to bidding. I did make a short walk around video of this vehicle which I posted on YouTube. I did get a chance to drive this Mercedes-Benz home for the weekend and I was very impressed on how well it drove and was astonished at the fuel economy of this vehicle. The body is in great shape and looks like the whole car was painted at some point. No major dents, scratches or rust spots anywhere on the body of the car. The tires are Firestones and are a matching set. They seem in real good shape with about 50-60% left on them. The interior is in really good shape with only a few minor blemishes. The leather is clean and shows only slight signs of wear. The passenger seat has a 1" tear in the center of the seat. The cupholder opens but does not seem to be attached properly. The middle compartment above the ash tray seem to be missing but I'm not sure what belongs there. There is a CD Changer in the trunk but no cartridge so I was unable to test it. Sometimes you have to push on the shifter to remove the key from the ignition. As you can see by the pictures it looks great inside. It does not look like a typical 14 year old vehicle. The car runs and drives great and seems to be in great mechanical condition. I took it home on a night where temperatures got into the teens and the car started right up the next morning after allowing the glow plugs to heat up. It runs smooth with no warning lights on the dash. The transmission shifts smoothly and goes through all the gears. The only problem I noticed was that there was a pulsation while braking but I will be addressing that in the next day or so and will update the listing when it is taking care of. On Dec-15-10 at 10:48:42 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE:::: I had the mechanic cut the rotors and the pulsation is gone. The brake pads look good. About 60% left on the front and the rears had about 75% left.
