For sale is a used 1986 Ford Mustang GT - Hatchback, 5 speed manual transmission, with red cloth interior and sport seats. Running condition: Good/Very Good running condition, the previous owner has made a long car trip to and from Louisiana in this Mustang just this year. The previous owner was also a fairly skilled mechanic. The car has recently recieved a new/remanufactured steering rack and tie rod ends and has had the rag joint inspected. The motor runs well to the best of my experience as does the transmission and the clutch is holds strong in fifth gear acceleration test from 1500 rpm to 2500 rpm. Tires have plenty of tread. There is a minor coolant leak from the passenger side, near the firewall which I suppose might be the heater core or its associated plumbing and the fuel door button doesn't work. Interior condition: fair, probably better than average for a nearly twenty five year old car but the dash pad does have the typical cracks in the speaker grill areas and so on. Body: fair / poor, there is some clear coat failure on the roof & hatch, and slight surface rust (no rust through). which has been addressed with Wurth Rust Guard rust converting black paint to keep the issue from progressing. Modifications: the previous owner installed a aftermarket tape deck, sport shocks / suspension, amplifier (not connected), shorty headers and chip / 60mm throttlebody.
