Up for Bid! This is a true classic muscle car! 1969 Mercury Cougar XR7 convertible wtih some very nice options! This car has a power top, factory A/C car, power brakes, power steering, power top, factory tach, tilt wheel, clock, and more! The car is still a project but the hard part is already done! The car has newer paint that is in pretty good shape and pretty nice paint job. There is a big scratch or blemish area bout the size of a cd disk on the passenger side rear quarter. Other than that a pretty good paint job. The car has no cancer that I have found. The floor is solid, the rear quarters are solid, the trunk is super solid, this is a nice project and not a rust bucket. The car has good glass, The top is repairable does have a slash all the way across that needs to be patched. The top is only about 3 years old with the hard glass insert in the back. The car has a 351 windsor I believe with the 4 barrel carb and it runs very strong! Automatic transmission with console shifter tranny is good and shifts good. I drive it occasionally it does have good tags, and clean title in hand. The interior needs some help although the dash is in excellent shape with no cracks. I also do have the door panels, the seats are torn up and need to be recovered up front. The back seats are in better shape but a lil dirty and could clean up, but I would redo the whole interior. The guages all seem to work good, as well as the factory tach. The hideaway headlights work good as well! The car does need the bumpers put back on along as all the trim including the door handles. I do have the rear and front bumper and they are in good shape! The car had all the trim, marker lights pulled but I have most of all the trim, and chrome to make the car look complete. I do not have time or money to restore the car to what it deserves! This is a very cool car and I wish i could finish restoring it but I cannot. This is a project but is an easy project. The top is a power top but not currently working I havent checked the fuses so could be something very simple. The tires are in good shape, wheels are moonies. Keep in mind this is a project and needs a good solid day to be put back together. All in all this is a very rare old Cougar XR7 convertible that is solid and a very easy project.
