Vehicle Detail
Thanks for looking at my Porsche. This Porsche is a project for someone that can weld or would like to learn to weld as it has panels on the floor that will need to be replaced (valued at over $1000 and included with this auction) as well as the seat pans and parcel shelf. It's rusty and in need of a restore but otherwise straight and a nearly complete roller meaning it has no engine, transmission oil tank or relay panel included but does include the real fuchs wheels and has a complete suspension and brakes that should be restored as well. All the glass is good with the exception of a small crack in the windshield. All the window trim for side windows in good shape as well. It has the swaybars option through the body that is sought after, and was origionaly code 1818 color which is known as "Albert blue" named after prince Albert who origionaly requested it for his own car from Porsche. It's fitted with koni shocks from the factory along with the sway bars as a sporty upgrade. This is a rare and wished for color in these early Porsche cars and would make a great finished product with a nice red interior or whatever color you would like to make it. This car has all the interior panels and seats which would all need to be recovered in either leather or vinal. The fold out pockets are no good. These pockets are available through the aftermarket in a fiberglass to replace the cardboard origionals. The horn button is not included but three keys are. This car is hiding nothing. Don't be fooled, these cars all have rust and most hide it well, till it launches a part of the suspension at speed placing you in danger. With this car, you will know what you have and place trust in it knowing that you have made sure that the car is made solid once again. Not to mention the sence of accomplishment that restoring an older porsche can bring. Most importantly though, it's got a CLEAN title meaning it will not have any future devalueing problems Look at the current value of these cars, pre 74' cars are worth more than the newer glavanized cars that have replaced them. This can be a winning combination. She will love you for bringing her back to the road where she belongs. Good luck with your bid, Thanks.
