Vehicle Detail
This is my pride and joy 1974 Bronco.I bought this truck from an older gentleman in GA about 11 years ago.I was visiting a friend who lived across the street from the owner when I saw it.I wanted to by it but he would not sell it.A year later my friend called me and said he would sell it.I had a shipping co. ship it hear to CA.When I purchased it it was completely stock with 59,000 miles on it.In 2005 I decided to put a James Duff 3.5 inch lift on it,Real Mickey Thompson Challenger wheels,BFG All Terrains,A professionally fabricated rool bar which attaches at the COWL and rear wheel wells.(Allows use of glove box, floor space,AND it keeps the truck body from bending, which will happen, and is common if you take the roof off).I replaced all the bodymounts with blue poly ones from Duff also.I also replaced the power steering pump with a heavy duty Wild Horses pump, had and edlebrock performer carb, intake,JBA Shorty Headers,Complete Flowmaster Dual exhaust,MSD ignition system, chrome aircleaner and valve covers.I had the truck pro dyno tuned at that time and it runs EXCELLENT.It's not a hot rod,but it is super reliable and more efficient than stock. It also sounds really clean. Then in 2005 I had the truck professionally painted with 2 stage PPG Chromabase Urethane paint, installed a bikini top, new front and rear bumpers, door inserts /half doors and had diamond plate inner rear quarter panels made, inner tailgate panel and some other pieces, all out of bright aluminum.I have the original tire rack, complete and in perfect condition, just did not reinstall it.I have the original wipers, left them off because I have NEVER driven it in the rain.I have NEVER taken this truck off road either.I also have a brand new TUFFY stereo console that i never got around to installing. Also have a Flaming River steering shaft/coupling that i have not installed yet.The truck is very unmolested and well taken care of,the interior has a tear on the drivers seat, but this interior is ALL original except for the carpet and interior diamond plate panels. The truck is also a factory RANGER package truck which includes 4:11 gearing, power steering cooler,a limited slip 9inch rear end,Dana 44 front, power steering, and a 302 V8 engine. The original jack is still in the engine compartment,The original VIN tag is still in the correct glove box mounting spot. The tranmission is the original 3 speed on the column.I did replace the clutch, throw out bearing and resurfaced the flywheel in 2003.The truck had approx 61,000 miles on it a that point. The truck has heavy duty drum brakes on it front and rear.If have driven a older vehicle with drum brakes before, you know they do not stop well.I planned on doing a disk brake conversion to it but never got to it.The truck has been sitting in my garage for about a year,i started it yesterday for the first time in a while and it fired up immediatedly.I noticed that the radiator had a tiny drip and the oil pan had a small leak.Nothing major. The truck runs EXCELLENT but the steering box has some play in it.VERY COMMON on these trucks. The left turn signal does not work, either do the brake lights or the horn.I'm sure these are MINOR issues, but trying to give you a good description. The truck is not show perfect(some small chips, scratches etc,BUT it is one of the nicest i have seen.I take great care of my vehicles and would love to keep it and fix the small things I just mentioned, but at this time I could use the money more.Feel free to call if you have any other questions. 619-672-4795 I DO NOT have the original doors or Hard Top.I do have the original ash tray,i just took it out because i did not want anybody smoking in it.You won't find a better Bronco for what my reserve is.And you cannot build one yourself for the reserve either.I WILL POSSIBLY TRADE FOR A HARLEY AND CASH.NO SPORTSTERS.
