Vehicle Detail
1993 Mazda MX6 2.5 V6, auto. This car runs very well and has low milage for it's age. I have seen many of these cars for sale with over 200,000 miles and still going strong. The engine, drivetrain, air conditioning all function good. It has a sunroof that works with no leaks. It is licensed and inspected and has good brakes and tires. But as you can see this Mazda has several cosmetic issues. It needs a paint job, the paint is faded on the hood, trunk, roof and fender tops but it has no rust. It has several small door dings and a baseball size dent in front fender. Fog lights are gone. The front seats need recovered. The side mirrors have been reattached and function fine but to restore you would need new ones. The trunk lifts are missing. It may need a catback refresh at some time as it has tubing and a glasspack that is not stock equipment. The driver window works but needs some new track grommets on one side, rattles a little. The driver seat motor needs replacing, it reclines but does not move up and back. The driver door vinyl needs replacing, I glued it and messed it up. The air bag light blinks and the engine light comes on occassionally but then goes off with the engine running perfect the whole time? I also have a complete timing kit, belt, water pump and idlers, that go with the car. I was going to replace it but when I found out it was a non interference engine and the current Gates belt looked good I decided to wait. I have heard of these cars running 160K with same timing belt. Can't remember exactly at what mileage but I have changed the CV joints, distributor, air hose intake, master cylinder, rear calipers, all disc pads, changed oil regularly and recent transmission filter and fluid change. I have been holding on to this car thinking I was going to restore but it's just not gonna happen for me. This is a great running car and I tend to go overboard on disclosing the defects but I do like to be accurate on what it needs to get back into original shape so there are no surprises.
