British Roadster for sale by owner. I bought this car in 1992 and restored it over the next four years. The car has a rebuilt motor (1999 with 3,000 miles since) with with cross-drilled crank for reliability, rebuilt head and carbs, K&N air filter kit, aluminum valve cover, upgraded Bosch 110-amp alternator, iron water pump, Cibie headlamps, chrome driving lights, Shelby American wheels with good tires, wing mirrors, LE luggage rack, leather interior, new dashboard, Motolita steering wheel, Kenwood stereo with CD, speakers, amp and sub. I also added a battery cut-off switch for protection and security. During the restoration we repaired all the rust damage in the car including new floors, new dog-legs, and we fixed the sills. The steel in the boot (trunk), cabin, and engine compartment was sandblasted and painted with Por-15 urethane paint, so there is no rust. The exterior paint on the car was not prepped or applied correctly and it needs to be redone. There is some superficial rust under the paint in some spots, there is some paint peeling away above the trim line on the driver's door, and there is a small rust-through on the passenger-side dog-leg (see pictures). Everything works on the car. Mechanically the car is great and there are no other rust issues. The hood (top) is still in great condition and the plastic is still clear (windows in older tops cloud up and turn yellow). This is a great car and I'm sad to see it go.
