It has been off the road for a couple years. It was last driven this past winter. The engine runs strong and the transmission shifts smoothly. The brakes are weak. It has been stored in my garage until last weekend. I charged the battery and primed it through the carb and it fired right up.The passenger rear wheel is currently locked up from sitting. This Scout is remarkably solid for a Northeast Scout. Although It needs body work. Primarily front floor pan / rocker repair as well as the mounts. Included in this auction but not pictured are quality replacement panels (L&R front pans and rockers). The mounts looked like an easy fab rather than buying them. The previous owner attempted to patch the driver side floor and rocker but it looks like he tacked them in with a Mig without using gas. The welds didn't penetrate so they can be removed with ease. I bought this 4x4 project to restore for a hunting / summer time vehicle to run with the top off but I now need the garage space so she has got to go. Included with the sale of the Scout are - Replacement floor pans and rocker panels.
